Loved staying so close to the beach, having an AMAZING day on the water and the pool was awesome!

Dream Vacation

The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. Bikes were great to take into Capitva and the golf cart was so much fun. The best part was that we could fish out the back and a short walk to the beach at the front. Also highly recommend the free boat ride - Captain Bryan is a great tour guide. We will definitely return!

The house was perfect for everything we were looking for! Several people in our group love to fish, so being able to walk right out to the dock or take the kayaks out was incredibly convenient. The short walk across the street to the beach made everything even easier.The property also included four bicycles, and our four kids rode them to the ice cream shop every day—they absolutely loved it!This home truly had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. It was stocked with beach wagons, pool towels, beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas, so we didn't have to pack any of our own. The six-seat golf cart was another huge bonus and made quick trips to the shops and restaurants so easy.The kitchen was fully equipped, including a great selection of cooking spices, which made preparing dinners a breeze. One of the biggest amenities for our group was the ice machine and water cooler. We travel to Florida every year, and at every other place we've stayed, we're constantly making daily trips to buy bags of ice for the coolers and bottled water. This was the first vacation where we didn't have to worry about either, and it made such a difference.The pool was perfect for relaxing after long days at the beach.I can't say enough great things about this home. The owners were friendly, quick to respond to any questions, and wonderful to work with throughout our stay. This was easily one of our favorite family vacations, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Week in Paradise

We visited Hakuna Matata June 21-28, 2025. There were 6 adults and 5 children in our party. The house was a perfect fit for our family. The location was ideal for us as we brought 2 flats boats and were able to secure them to the dock. The dock has power and water. We did tap in PVC poles to keep the boats off the dock during low tide. The family enjoyed the kayaks in Rooservelt Channel. The beach access is across the street and was a quick walk to the beach. If you need any beach supplies, they have them for you in the garage. The adults fished the beach at 6 am and caught some fantastic snook. We enjoyed the 6 seater golf cart to get to downtown Captiva. The kitchen has excellent supplies and appliances. We had a few issues with the house. I notified Jake and he was professional, appreciative and took care of them. I would return to this place again.

Hakuna Matada is a roomy, comfortable home that was perfect for a week with our extended family. The property is beautifully landscaped, lush, and private. The pool was a big hit and having the beach a stroll away made it easy for everyone to get as much beach time as they liked. A great property in a great location.
