The condo was very clean and perfectly represented in its listing. It clearly had been updated with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The building is somewhat old, but the unit is lovely. There is a dedicated garage for parking which was a true bonus given its proximity to the beach and limited street parking. You are literally a block off the beach and can see the beach from the front balcony. Alan (host) was very responsive and answered my questions very quickly. It was lovely to have coffee and filters available in the unit upon our arrival. My only recommendation would be to consider a new mattress as this one is quite lumpy. Those with mobility issues may have challenges navigating the exterior stairs to the second floor but otherwise a great location, a lovely unit, and a very responsive host. Highly recommend! We would stay there again.

Nice spot in Oceanside

Conveniently located close to the beach and restaurants. Great space with everything you need to feel like you’re in home.

The unit was as described and a true gem! The views were spectacular and we had all that we needed for our two-day stay. Communication was excellent. We can’t wait to come back,

Oceanside Stay

The property was wonderful. All of the updates were beautiful and everything was super clean. It had everything we needed, towels, sheets, appliances, etc. The location to downtown, the beach and the strand was perfect. We had an amazing stay and didn’t want to leave!

NO AIR CONDITIONING! This is not mentioned in the listing and it totally should be! This may not be a big deal if you are staying during the cooler months, but if you are staying in the hotter months it IS a big deal! I didn't even think to check the amenities for A/C. Where I'm from, A/C is a necessity and is standard in rental properties. We were here in mid-August and upon check-in it was almost 90 degrees in the apartment. That was at 6:00 in the evening!! There was a breeze, but it was a warm breeze even after the sun went down. We could not stay here. We stayed until around 8:00 and decided to find somewhere else. There was no way to sleep with the windows open. The noise outside would not allow it. It was way too hot to close the windows in the bedroom to block the noise. This apartment is NOT newly renovated. Maybe a few years ago it was. The couch sits at a slant because the pull out bed will not go completely inside the frame. It is very uncomfortable to sit on because of that. It is also the only place to sit other than the 2 kitchen chairs. The area rug in the living room is disgusting and really should just be thrown out. It is dirty and has stains all over it. Being on the beach, I'm sure rugs get dirty pretty fast. For the price, I expected much nicer and air conditioning. The location to the beach is the only positive. For the record, I have never left a bad review. This is a first.
