The house was perfect for our Christmas holiday with comfortable beds, great internet access, beautifully finished kitchen and bathrooms. It was perfect for our stay! The location was fabulous.

Perfect get-away

Nicely appointed property and gracious hosts. Great location in quiet area. Loved the walkability to parks, waterfront trails and downtown. Will look forward to coming back again.

We had such a wonderful stay at this VRBO in Safety Harbor! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It had everything we needed to feel right at home, from a well-stocked kitchen to cozy spaces for relaxing after a day out.The location couldn’t have been better. It was peaceful and quiet, yet still close to all the charm of downtown Safety Harbor, including great restaurants, shops, and scenic spots to walk. We especially loved starting our mornings with a walk and coming back to enjoy coffee in such a relaxing setting.The hosts were fantastic—responsive, thoughtful, and clearly take pride in making sure guests have a great experience. Every detail felt intentional and welcoming.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway in Safety Harbor!

We needed a place to stay that was dog friendly and were so happy we came across this gem! The house was charming and cozy and had everything we needed to make us feel welcome and comfortable! There were lots of little extras that aren't always included at places we stay. We were grateful to have water bottles in the refrigerator since we ended out arriving much later than we expected and didn't have time to stop to get more waters. Communication was fast and they let us stay an extra night last minute. Yay!Our favorite thing was the location! Every morning, I walked to South Bayshore Blvd., then to the Bayfront Boardwalk Trail along Waterfront Park to watch the sunrise. It was just two a little over two miles there and back. Main Street was also in walking distance and we enjoyed getting pizza from Nona's to bring home, and ice cream from Strachan's. The huge historical oak trees are also fun to walk to. It was an easy, short drive to Clearwater, a billion stores, restaurants of every kind, and a welcoming church we decided to visit (Countryside Christian Church). Our drive to see the sunset on Honeymoon Island was only about 25 minutes (much longer coming back because we got stuck in all the traffic exiting the park). The only thing we had trouble figuring out was how to open the interior doors, but I'm sure that was user error and just because they are different than what we are used to. Bring a charging block for next to the beds. Plenty of outlets! Highly recommend!

Perfect Retreat!!!

It was such a pleasure staying at Casa La Joya. It was an incredible experience. Having previously stayed at John and Ellen’s other properties, I was excited to find that their new location in Safety Harbor was just as amazing. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home, every detail was carefully considered. The ambiance is both cozy and elegant, creating a perfect retreat. My dog Chloe and I had such a wonderful time. The fenced yard was a definite plus for Chloe. Within walking distance we found a very nice dog park. We were also able to walk down to the water front and downtown main street. John and Ellen are exceptional hosts, ensuring that everything was just right for our stay. Their attention to detail and hospitality truly sets them apart. Whether you're traveling solo, with a pet, or with family and friends, I can’t recommend this house enough!!!
