When it's time to refresh, the cottage boasts a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. Just a short 9-minute drive away, you can explore the Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets for some retail therapy, or venture 11 minutes to Hammonasset Beach State Park to soak up the sun and enjoy the serene coastal views. Charming cozy cottage with an easy walk to the beach. Mary was easy to communicate with and very helpful.Nice yard area for grandkids to play and cottage is close to great restaurants and shopping.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Maryann! I totally agree that a great feature is the large yard. I spent many a day as a kid playing there myself. Now, I find it very peaceful sitting on the screened front porch looking out on the yard. The proximity to the beach is also wonderful, and I'm glad you found your way around to great eats and shopping. I would love to have you back next summer!

We have been renting this cottage for almost 13 years it is always exactly what we’re looking for. Very clean - updated kitchen - we love the front porch!

Mary's property is truly a hidden gem, nestled behind and between other properties with a large yard to enjoy. The house is very spacious and accommodating. It feels like you've stepped into a 1950's beach house with the authentic antique decor. The beach is just a short walk across the street. The neighborhood is very cozy and inviting. Mary was only a text away if we had any questions. We can't wait to come back!

This is a highly recommended place to stay! We had a wonderful time-the owner is a pleasure to work with. The cottage is clean and comfortable with a very short walk to the beach and located on a quiet street. Again, highly recommended!

Extended stay at the beach!

We stayed for about 2 weeks at the cottage and had a wonderful time! Mary was very responsive and a wonderful host. The house was cozy and so close to the beach. We look forward to staying again in the future :)

First Time

My boyfriend and our five kids rented this cottage for our first vacation all together. We also had my parents come along as well. The cottage was very accommodating to all 9 of us. It is an older cottage, but the inside was beautiful with old world charm. It has a dishwasher, laundry room in basement, grill outside, board games for kids to play. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with the things you need. We felt right at home and were very comfortable. The beach is a one minute walk away and it was very private. We were the only ones on the beach all week. There is an outside shower, which was nice for the kids to clean off before they entered the cottage. There is a nice yard where the kids were able to throw a ball and play a few different games. The owner was wonderful. She checked to make sure that we made it there ok and if we needed anything, also on our last day she texted me saying to have a safe trip home. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing vacation with their family. I will be renting this property again in the future.

Been coming here for years

My husband and I & our two teen aged sons have been renting this cottage for a week or 2 for 4 summers. We love it! The location is perfect--a stone's throw from the beach (a 90 second walk) in a quiet friendly beachy neighborhood. There is a cottage feel to the house and at the same time its so nice to have a dishwasher, and a washing machine & dryer. The beds are comfortable. The house is always clean upon arrival & renters are expected to leave it clean for the next visitors. There's plenty of parking and plenty of space to hang out inside on the rare rainy day. The clean, sandy beach is rarely crowded--our family & friends are often the only people there during the week. There are plenty of restaurants & shopping very close by, and tourist attractions all within an hour's drive, if you can bear to leave the beach. The owners are very nice & accommodating. My husband & I have been renting in the neighborhood for decades & we just love this house & location.
