This is a beautiful, Cape Cod style cottage that is only an 8 minute walk from the beach. Located in the private Chalker Beach Association in Old Saybrook, CT, this rental has been meticulously furnished with nautical themes throughout. At 1,036 sq. ft., this cottage has hardwood floors, pocket doors and a gorgeous family room, living room and full dining room. It has 3 bedrooms, which sleep up to 6 people. The bathrooms and kitchen are modernized with great amenities including a breakfast bar, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Located on a beautiful lot with an outdoor shower, patio and plenty of parking, this cottage is complete with cable and high speed WiFi. The cottage has window A/C units.

Charming beach cottage

This cottage worked perfectly for our visit to Old Saybrook. Loved the front porch and the back screened in area. The one AC unit upstairs was the only inconvenience but we did make it work by leaving bedroom doors open. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Charming hostess and delightful cottage!

Welcome touches were much appreciated. Ann Marie was a delightful hostess and so helpful answering our questions. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to go to Old Saybrook, CT.

Wonderful Chalker

Chalker Beach is a wonderful place. Close to the beach beautiful inside very clean parking pass for the beach. AnnMarie and Wayne are great host. Very responsive to any request. Hope to go back next year.

Great Cottage

We had a fantastic stay. We’ve been coming to Chalker for many years but this is the first time we rented. Couldn’t ask for anything else. We were very comfortable all week. The special touches were greatly appreciated.

Wonderful hosts

Amazing week in Old Saybrook!! The home was adorable. So many nice touches such as a welcome basket and flowers. Both owners were more than gracious and answered every question. They went beyond kindness when they shared their backyard kayak launch. Thanks Wayne and Ann. We will be back.

Fun Fourth of July stay at Chalker Beach

This house worked great for our family and had everything we needed. It was very clean which we appreciated. The owners were helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We also enjoyed the activities like Bingo organized by the Chalker Beach association. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach but you can park in a lot across from the beach once you get the temporary parking permit which makes it easy to bring your stuff there.

Felt right at home. Very comfortable. Enjoyable week! Vrbo failed to confirm my reservation with the owner. I had difficulty gaining access upon check-in. The gracious owner resolved the issue quickly.

Great Cottage

This cottage was a very quaint cottage. Very well maintained and clean. Had all the amenities that you would need on vacation. Our family enjoyed our time there very much. The beach was fantastic. Not to crowded during the week. A little busy on the weekend but that was to be expected. 7/30/22 - 8/6/22

Wonderful Time

This is my second time renting this home. The house is very clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Ann Marie is available if necessary and is a delight. Once you arrive it feels like home away from home. Love it.

Another wonderful week in this adorable cottage

This is our second summer spending a week in this beautiful cottage while visiting family in Old Saybrook. The cottage is clean and well-stocked, with plenty of room for us and our 2 teenage boys. They liked walking to the beach and Chalker Beach store. We enjoyed a Father’s Day cookout with the grill and lovely screened-in outdoor dining area.

A lovely cottage

I enjoyed my stay very much. Everything was great. No complaints. My only objection was the large amount of commercial traffic going by, mainly due I believe, to the construction of two houses down the street.

Hurricane Henri relief

The accommodations were excellent. A clean and unique property close to Chalker beach. The owners couldn’t be more attentive to the every need of the renter. A welcome basket and golf cart shuttle ride of the area made it even more special. Thank you AnneMarie and Wayne! Hopefully we can return next year.

Great beach get away

We loved staying at this adorable cottage. Our kids loved the outdoor shower and all the wonderful little touches that Ann Marie goes out of her way to do for her guests. Highly recommend!

Lovely Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage tremendously. The house is decorated with a nautical theme so charming and filled with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to games and movies! The short walk to the beach, the club house, the quiet neighborhood and the hospitality of Wayne and Ann Marie made it a wonderful week!!

Peaceful and relaxing.

The minute I walked through the door I felt relaxed. The home is super cute. Well maintained and clean. Fully equipped. A welcome basket was waiting upon arrival. Front porch was awesome. Loved relaxing on the porch. Happened to meet the owners who were very nice. We had a great vacation and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Love Chalker Beach.

Wonderful family vacation cottage!

We spent a great week at this lovely cottage visiting our family that live in Old Saybrook. The cottage was very comfortable for our family of 4 - our tween boys loved walking to the beach and store on their own, and playing BINGO at the Association building. The cottage had everything we needed, we especially appreciated the screen-enclosed outdoor table in the backyard for eating dinner, and the DVDs and board games for a rainy day. We definitely look forward to coming back to vacation here again next summer.

This cottage is part of the private Chalker Beach Association. This means that while you rent, you will have access to a private association beach, parking lot and right of way. In addition there are two clubhouses, a basketball court, a baseball diamond, a playscape and a variety of weekly family friendly activities including arts and crafts for kids, BINGO and movies on the beach.

This cottage is pristine and is in a central, yet peaceful location. You are a short 8 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride to the beach, yet have a wonderful backyard and patio space for summertime activities, like grilling. The cottage is less than a minute from Route 1, which will take you into historic downtown Old Saybrook in under 5 minutes. A Big Y grocery store is conveniently located less than a mile away along with numerous restaurants and shops including a YMCA. The cottage is located just a mile from I-95 and 10 minutes from a movie theater and shopping outlets in Westbrook and Clinton.
