Great building right on the beach on the edge of Sandestin away from the massive crowds. Easy parking, nice pool. Condo was very clean and looks like pictures. Great views. Owner gave great instructions and had no problems.

Beautiful pool area and beach. The unit was very clean and comfortable. Lovely resort close to restaurants and shopping. Could use updated bedding and some basic pans ( pizza pan, cookie sheet). We enjoyed it and would stay at Westwinds again.

The condo was very clean and the view was amazing. Only complaint was the pools heating system was broken so the pool was not heated. It was fixed by the last day of our stay. Would definitely stay in this unit again!

Perfect getaway

Great communication beforehand, so check-in was easy. The condo looks just like the pictures! Beautiful views and easy access to the great beach! We would definitely stay again when in Miramar!

Perfect condo with a great view

This place was perfect for my family of 4. Pool area and beach’s access was close and easy. Both bedrooms and living rooms have an awesome view of the ocean.

Condo was clean when we arrived. I was shocked that the ice maker had been turned off (disconnected) and that was not mentioned. We have to buy ice everyday in order to fill our cups. I did call when we arrived about the ice maker and was told a maintenance guy would be around to check the ice maker, but that some units’ ice makers had been disconnected. This should be mentioned in the listing. You would expect a fully furnished condo in 2026 to have a working ice maker. Not only do I not know if someone came by to check it, but I also never heard back from the management company. Only communication I ever received was automated general messages regarding check out. This condones very small and the furniture (especially in master) is very large. The view is also not great for the price.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you found the condo clean upon arrival. Regarding the ice maker, while the refrigerator includes one, we do not advertise an in-unit ice maker as an amenity because they can occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance. An ice machine is available for guest use at the pool area if additional ice is needed. We apologize that you did not receive a follow-up after reporting the issue. While we did arrange for maintenance to inspect it and he went by, better communication on our part would have been appropriate. As for the size of the condo and the view, both are accurately represented in our listing photos. The furnishings, layout, and view shown in the listing are exactly what guests can expect upon arrival. While we understand that preferences regarding room size, furniture scale, and views vary from person to person, these aspects of the property should not have come as a surprise since they are clearly depicted before booking.

Fantastic beach trip

We've been to Sandestin several times but this was by far the best condo we've stayed at! The condo itself was spotless, and it was fully stocked with everything we would need. We loved how both bedrooms had an incredible view of the beach. The Westwinds building was also very impressive - convenient beach access, beautiful pool, and easy parking. We had absolutely zero complaints and will definitely be back!

Excellent location for a family vacation!

Great spot for a family vacation! Easy access to the beach, large pool with some shade, kiddie pool, and a pool cabana bar with food and drinks. Condo was exactly what we wanted and hosts were very responsive and easy to work with! We brought beach towels but I’d also recommend bringing bath towels and washcloths, as the condo didn’t provide a lot but does have a nice washer and dryer so you can wash.

Convenient and Clean!

We came down for vacation on an 8th grade trip with a large group. We stayed at the Beachside condos in previous years. This was our first time staying at the Westwind and it was fantastic! Better than Beachside. Clean and convenient. The shuttle service was great as usual. Our contact was prompt and always helpful. Thank you for a great experience!

Not that great

Master bed was lumpy with rock hard pillows. Layout of condo was odd and the kitchen was almost as big as the living space. There were absolutely no add ons—no beach chairs, extra towels, TP, not even a plastic cup or two etc. I will never rent again here.

Thank you very much for your feedback and we wish the condo was more to your liking. The pillows on the bed and the mattress are both less than a year old and we have extra pillows in the closet if the ones on the bed aren't to your liking. There are extra towels and toilet paper in the bathroom cabinets and beach chairs, umbrellas and a few beach toys in the closet with the washer and dryer. Even though you only stayed a couple of days we really wish that you would have said something to us so we could have pointed you to the items that you needed.

Great beach condo

We had a great stay, everything was clean and modern. The space fit a family of 5 (3 kids perfectly). The view was perfect and steps from heated pool, hot tub and beach. We picked this place bc pool was well landscaped compared to others we saw. Also beach is great location, next to the condo beach area was for owners only section and no one was in that area. So didn’t feel packed. Kitchen was well equitable with everything you need and also details like cleaning supplies there. Loved having laundry and nice open floor plan. We loved the Bay wharf area- Tues fireworks, Wed fun cover band and all the restaurants had lived music. Very family friendly and not overly crowded. Only negative was bathroom sinks didn’t drain well.

Gorgeous unit with amazing ocean views!

Unit was very clean and organized. I liked that there were no carpets and the furniture was leather so less likely to trap germs etc. Kitchen had the basics needed. Only thing I would recommend are more serving bowls, serving spoons, and maybe rubbermaid containers for leftover food storage for the family’s that stay in and cook rather than eat out everyday when on vacation. But we were able to make it work so it wasn’t a big issue. The facility had great access to the beach and ramps were available to roll beach carts easily. Loved the landscaping on the property. Views from the condo were gorgeous!!! Westwinds resort is in a great location and close to everything you need. Restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shopping plazas are all close. There are TRAM passes included with condo rental which was a nice touch although we didn’t use them. Marcella was extremely nice and made the check in super easy. She was very responsive and willing to make our stay as comfortable and simple as possible. I would definitely consider staying at one of Marcella’s units in the future.

Perfect property for our group: couple and three teen girls. Very clean, organized, easy to get in and out, no crazy waits for elevators, tiki bar for easy snacks and drinks. Unit had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, great beach side view. There is ample space in this unit, including the bedrooms. Pool was clean and property well maintained. Would def stay again.

The property was clean, up to date, spacious, and well kept. Our host communicated very well, even with texting information and very good response time to text messages. Beach view was great and everything was just as expected from the listing. No elevator waits and plenty of parking each day. A great vacation stay. 5 star rating because we had zero complaints.

Very disappointing unit!

Disgusting unit that was a total disappointment both in terms of condition of the condo and the property management. Husband and I are working professionals who sought a wonderful beach vacation only to be sorely disappointed. These are just some of the issues that we encountered at this condo • Broken central AC- instead they left two filthy large portable AC units • Furniture and bedding were of cheap quality…including the advertised beach chairs being broken and stained. Major updates needed. • Patio screen doors broken and need replaced in bedroom and LR. • All bathroom sinks and tubs clogged- handfuls of hair/grime pulled from drains • The unit was very dirty upon arrival- needs deep cleaning • Poor customer service- Property manager refused to move us to a different unit which we requested • After 48 hours, the refrigerator was still not cold. • We spent hours trying to resolve things with the property manager after our arrival when things should have been working and clean prior to our arrival • The worst part of our stay was not bad weather- we could have waited that out. Sunny skies would not have made us stay at this condo. You can find much better in beautiful Destin than this unit.

This guest called 3 hours before check in and wanted a refund due to possible inclement weather. We don't give refunds due to the weather, the guest was very upset, and the hurricane ended up making landfall in Alabama. After they were denied a refund the complaints began. In her order, the AC wasn't broken, the furniture is typical rental condo furniture, mattresses are less than a year old, one screen door wouldn't close and we sent out the repairman. All seven drains in the condo were simultaneously clogged? Come on, that's not even possible. All of our condos were booked for that weekend so we couldn't move the guest, and the guest didn't even stay 48 hours from the time they bought their groceries. If by trying to resolve things you mean yelling at us when you didn't get your way I guess you were trying to resolve things, that is why we switched to email/text. Bottom line is our condos are clean and comfortable, and we mean it when we recommend purchasing trip insurance because there are no refunds within the cancellation period. I would check the other recent reviews of people who had a wonderful time as a more accurate representation of people's experiences.
