Historic Beach Cottage steps from beach. Pet friendly!

Blue Corner Cottage is an Historic one bedroom beach house, just 5 th house from the Beach. Step outside and you can see the Gulf of America Located at 28 Glendale St in the Clearwater Cottages District.. Families have enjoyed these Beach Cottages since 1925 . Laid back large families with children and pets will have a great beach vacation. Clearwater Cottages amenities include kitchens featuring, granite counter tops, Samsung Stainless Steel full size refrigerator, glass top stove, microwave, and all kitchen utensils. All living rooms and bedrooms have LC wall mounted TVs with DVD in most rooms.
Shared Key West style back yard has wood party deck , Tin Roof Gazebo, 2 Weber BBQ grills, bicycles and Large shade trees and tropical plants. Guest love to gather in the fence yard after a day at the beach. Children make new friends and parents can watch children from the cottages. Like going to camp at the beach.

Make a cup of coffee in the full size kitchen and just walk down the block and enjoy the morning surf. At night, take a cold drink out of your full size refrigerator, and take our coolers and beach chairs down to the beach to watch the sunset.

The children can walk back and forth to the beach unsupervised as there are no streets to cross. The shared Key West Style backyard has Weber gas BBQ grills and and a covered Tin Roof Gazebo, wood deck with chairs and tables with large Tropical plants and trees, a favorite spot for a cup of coffee in the morning, a cold beer from the outside refrigerator and great for private parties at night.
This small house is perfect for romantic couple, family with 3 small children, or 3 adults. Corner Cottage is a stand alone small house , 130 steps from the beach. Remodel in 2018.

Pets are welcome add Club fee for pet one, add property fee for pet two. We do not suggest guests with allergies book a pet friendly property. We love pets and most of our nearby restaurants allow pets and the beach is pet friendly just 3 blocks north of Clearwater Cottages district

Living room with high vaulted ceilings also has twin bed and full size sofabed to sleep 3 persons

As of 2023 our insurance no longer covers hotel

Winter visit

The place was exactly as advertised. It needs a little love but the location is excellent and the staff very nice. The weather didn't cooperate so I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the property as much as I would have liked. . Cap Al has lots of beach items, chairs, beach towels for your use. Once again the location is excellent for beach walks and sunsets. It is walking distance to everything. I enjoyed my visit . Thank you

Just what we needed

Clean. Well, laid out. Plenty of towels in the shed for us to use, along with tons of boogie boards, floaty’s chairs, and umbrellas There were hooks everywhere, which made it easy to dry off swimsuits. The host friendly and available. The recreation area was just paradise. My kids were able to walk to the beach, barefoot. The only downside was that we got a lot of mosquito bites our first night. I was able to reduce it by spraying the front door with mosquito repellent, since there were gaps in the front door’s weatherstripping.

Cozy Little Beach Cottage ⛱️

Captn Al was awesome with his communication. Maintenance crew, Dominick, was adamant with keep up and very friendly with a great sense of humor.The place was perfect- small but great for 2 people! We loved the atmosphere of the house. Beach-Tacky and definitely an escape from just being at a typical hotel. I loved having kitchen material just because cooking at home is money savvy. We really enjoyed it.. and did NOT want to leave lol We will definitely be back in touch with Al and see about scheduling another visit soon! :)

Would stay again

We really enjoyed the location and the little house was all we needed. Property management was on site daily for anything needed and they were responsive to needs. It reminded me of a grandparents beach house that was stocked with the older and extra for towels and dishes - which was fine with us. It isn't ritzy, but it is home like, and let's face it, you don't come to the beach to sit inside anyway. We didn't spend much time there aside from sleeping. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. The negative was the floor didn't seem like it had been cleaned in a while. Karen with management offered to have someone come clean it, but I opted to take a mop and do it myself. Unfortunately, I never got around to mopping it. We just kept our shoes on. It wasn't a deal breaker and there were way more positives. The hot tub was nice. We almost bought beach chairs, but learned they provide them free for guest use. There is also an outside shower that has hot water. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and we would stay again.

Great Little Cottage

Pros: Location, cute beach aesthetic, and the amenities. The water pressure is enviable! The main bedroom bed is firm but comfortable and the sheets were soft. Three teens slept comfortably enough on the fold-outs in the living room. Plenty of linens and pillows for all. Correctable Cons: The main bedroom's wall unit AC contains mold/mildew. There was significant termite residue on kitchen floor on arrival (I thought it was spilled coffee grounds at first.) There is no dishwasher in this unit, but there was no drain plug, dish rack, or dish towels with which efficiently wash and dry dishes. A can opener, spatula, and a full roll of paper towels would have been helpful. Suggestion: If possible, include updated descriptions of the specific unit and house rules in VBRO welcome email. The documentation in the room seemed to be for a different property so I stopped reading it. Therefore, I missed the requirement of reservations for the communal hot tub. This led to a minor misunderstanding with the teens and property management.

Okay Getaway

Location was close to the water, and within walking distance of the Rockaway bar, which we enjoyed. This particular cottage was on corner of the street which I didn’t realize until I arrived. Nice that it was dog friendly, but the only close place to walk my dogs was across the street in a sparsely grassed area near construction; which was not well lighted at night. Also the room was not ready when I arrived after 4pm, which was two hours behind the set check in time due to heavy traffic as original check in time was at 2pm; so this was a little frustrating.

Amazing mini vacation

Had the best time for the weekend! Capt Al is an amazing host who spent time visiting and offered suggestions of where to eat and what to do. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon! Don’t miss out on this treasure

Corner Blue Cottage

The Cottage was not cleaned prior to our arrival, garbages in living area and bedroom full, sand all over the floors, and sink smelled like sewer. If windows were open in the bedroom you smelled the garbage cans outside the window. It also showed photos of the beach with blue half shells that you can rent on the beach, but that is more than a half mile walk to get to those. The beaches are beautiful in the area! Uber easily available. I would not stay in these cottages again.

Blue corner cottage

Perfect location to the beach! Just a few steps away. Easy walk to great restaurants. Capt Al and Dominic were extremely helpful and made our stay more enjoyable. The Shipwreck bar across the street had a few rowdy patrons but overall was ok and not every night.

Great communication

We were early and captain al was.kind enough to come over and let us in early.the only and i mean only thing that i would change is the comfort of the beds. Our backs were hurting after sleeping. But great guy...perfectly located.

Right on the beach

It is ideal for 2 people. Cute cottage steps from the beach. We liked the shared recreation area and the beach chairs cart and umbrella that we borrowed for the day. Relaxing vibe. Private property sign might be good so beach goers don’t mistake it for a cute shop. Yes that happened while we were there. Overall location was awesome and host was patient and warm.

Location is insane!!

Doesn’t get much better than this! Your very own mini house 30 second walk to the sand!!! Captain & Valerie were very accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Great family getaway

Buyer beware! Property details and amenities received were most definitely not as described in the ad. Confirm details before booking. Spent a decent amount on an attic space we couldn’t stand up fully due to slanted ceilings. No kitchen just microwave and mini fridge. Shower in the middle of the whole space! If I hadn’t planned for only one night I would have been EXTREMELY disappointed. Ask if you are renting “Pineapple Loft” if so don’t do it unless you like teeny tiny! Place was clean but nothing like as described!!

Different property, great stay.

The original cottage was unavailable do to sewer pipe problem. Captain Al had another, bigger property available , which we took. It was very nice and glad it was open on short notice.

Capt. Al, the Property Manager, Reservaton Agent, and Cottage Counselor is originally from New Jersey, and was a camp counselor at Club Getaway. Having enjoyed living close the Jersey Shore my dream has always been to live at the beach in Florida. For 35 years I have enjoyed this beautiful little island. Here we get to swim in the Gulf of Mexico as the sun sets, enjoy local fresh fish, and have great congenial neighbors who are friendly and enjoy the same 'Salt Life' . When you come to visit, Capt. Al and his first mate, Karen will be happy to show you around.

These cottages are in North Beach in a quaint area with cute beach houses . These cottage and a few Guest Houses and small houses on these 3 streets are the very last of the Old Florida District in Clearwater Beach

Just walk out the door and one hundred steps and you enjoy the best beaches in America. Most are much larger than the rooms called cottages in the large older homes in the neighborhood. Most are real little houses or a duplex with full new kitchens , new Stainless Steel appliances, and entertainment systems in most bedrooms.
