Great location and super host. They have thought of everything to make the stay feel as close to home as possible. The on site nature preserve and trail are an added plus.

A very clean, comfortable and well appointed property convenient to Bayfield village, the orchards and the main roads to get you to all the attractions. John is always available to answer questions or offer good advice about the area.

We used this property as our base to explore the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and the surrounding area of Bayfield. It had everything we needed after a long day of hiking or kayaking to allow us to relax and rejuvenate before tackling the next adventure.

We really enjoyed our stay. John was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided us with a unique experience! The only way it could have been better if his local momma bear would have come around! Thank you John!

Quiet, private,spotless,well cared for location just 1.5 miles from downtown Bayfield. Host very welcoming and reachable. Lovely covered porch overlooking the woods and access to large garage.

This home was beautiful. Host went above and beyond to make sure our vacation was the best that it could be. Very well organized and clean. King size bed was comfortable.

This VRBO was a hidden gem. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Bayfield. John was an amazing host. He met us when we arrived to show us the place and gave great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The VRBO was well stocked, very clean, and super cozy. Bed very comfortable. It was great to come back from a busy day around people and stay in a cozy quiet place in the woods. Definitely recommend this place. We had trouble with my E-bike and John took the time to help my husband fix it. Great host. Thank you John for for making our 1st time in Bayfield amazing!!! We will be back.

Perfect location within minutes of Bayfield and surrounding area. The setting in the woods was beautiful and quiet, the space around the buildings was open and light filled (fewer bugs than I expected.) The interior was also very “up north” in design but with modern amenities. The kitchen, living room, large bedroom and full bath are upstairs. A large bedroom and half bath are downstairs, perfect for some privacy and additional space. John goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and has created a very homelike VRBO space. John was a welcoming and helpful host, greeting us to give a tour and offer advice.

The Carriage House is close to town and on beautiful grounds. The host was very accommodating and the house was very clean. Laundry facilities were convenient. We would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. Did not spend a lot of time at the house but it served our needs perfectly.

This was the ideal place to stay for our long weekend in Bayfield. We felt like we were in the middle of the woods but yet were only a couple minutes from town. Very convenient! The cabin was very clean and a great size. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

The place was absolutely amazing. The trail was wonderful that went around the property and it was in a very good location for the orchard and downtown Bayfield and kayaking. John was a great host. Would definitely stay here again.
