The Ross House is a beautiful country home in the rolling hills of Pendleton County, Kentucky. It sits quietly in the little burg of Gardnersville, 7 miles east of I-75, perfect for family or friend get-aways! Enjoy a cup of morning coffee on the Sun porch that includes a hot tub, table for 6 and beautiful views. With a fully furnished kitchen, this is the perfect place to gather for a family get-together. You can enjoy a large family meal with the formal dining room that seats 10. Breakfast room with beautiful bay window includes a table for 6. Large family room with comfy seating and a 65 inch smart TV ready for movie night. Sunken family room with a sofa bed and smart TV. All the comforts of home with luxury hotel amenities such as hotel style toiletries, free wifi, comfortable beds, quality linens, plenty of towels, separate beach towels included for hot tub.

This place was so lovely! The views were amazing, the home was so wonderful with great amenities. We watched movies, played games and enjoyed the hot tub. It was a great distance from the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. There were other fun things to do around the area too, such as putt-putt, go-karts, and fun coffee, ice cream and great restaurants. The hosts were amazing!!!

Very clean for an older house. Well maintained and very quaint. We loved the extra touches from the owner and enjoyed our week in the peace and quiet. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and sheets for all. The kitchen was very well stocked and loved the Blackstone. Would recommend and if we are ever back in the area, would rent again.

This house was wonderful! It was a classic older home but with some modern updates. The bedrooms were “cute” as my 14 year old granddaughter said. We had everything we needed, and the property was beautiful. Also, the owner left a fresh homemade loaf of banana nut bread for us which we thoroughly enjoyed! If we ever find ourselves vacationing in this part of the country again, we would love to stay there.

We arrived at the property and it was better than described. Plenty of room for all of us and all the amenities we needed. The view was awesome and it was quiet and serene. They left a loaf of bread as a welcome gift. Such a nice touch. The weather was too warm to enjoy the fire pit, but we'll be back another time to enjoy it when cooler weather prevails. We had a little "sticky" situation, but the owners were on top of it, so we won't even mention it. They handled everything immediately and they were so flexible and gracious to us that it's not necessary to go into it. Carla and Brad were top notch hosts. While there we went to Creation Museum about 40 min away and then the Ark Encounter about 25 min away. Convenient and relaxing stay.

This was our second stay here and we absolutely love it. Everything about it is perfect for our family. The home itself is very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need is there. The landscape is peaceful and beautiful. This host has made this place a wonderful place to stay and is very attentive to us as guests. We hope to return again for future visits to this area.

Beautiful space for a family. Scenery is gorgeous. Home is well maintained and hostess has all the amenities. Comfy beds and lots of space.A binder with all important information you need is conveniently in the kitchen. Everything needed for the stay was in the home. We just had to buy groceries, everything else was there for us. Great place, will definitely stay again if in the area.

Five stars! This home is beautiful, clean, and packed with character. The hillside views are stunning, and the hot tub was the perfect bonus. Carla is a fantastic host—very responsive when we needed help. A perfect, relaxing getaway. We’ll be back!

There aren’t enough wonderful adjectives to describe this home. The property was beautiful and peaceful. The inside of the home was clean, welcoming, comfortable, and simply amazing. Not to mention, the fresh bread left by the host when we arrived. I would stay here again, even if I didn’t have plans to do anything in the area except relax.

This property is absolutely amazing! The location is convenient and the scenery is beautiful. The property is very spacious and well taken care of. if you're looking to cook your own meals the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The bedrooms are very comfortable as well. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. Enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birds and taking in the beautiful scenery. The host is easy to reach and very helpful. If you're looking to stay in this part of Kentucky this is the place to stay.

Did not use the hot tub but house incredibly nice, perfectly clean, had everything we needed. Enjoyed the huge yard, beautiful view and firepit area. Beds very comfortable. We decided we could go other direction to Dry Ridge- this is a long, curvy road that takes much longer than Waze says!!! But beautiful country to see.

The Ross Family: A Legacy of Agriculture and Community
From Brooker Bowen to Arnold and Jo Ross
L.E. (Brooker) Bowen, affectionately known as Grandpa, embarked on his journey in the farm implement business in 1927 in Gardenersville, signing a contract with International Harvester. Brooker and his wife Thelma had three daughters: Sue, Jo, and Jane.
Just a couple of miles east of Gardnersville on Highway 491, John and Hazel Ross cultivated a small farm and raised a family of six children. From an early age, John and Hazel’s middle son, Arnold, knew he would marry Jo Bowen. True to his childhood conviction, Arnold and Jo were married in April 1956. Following their nuptials, they moved to Annapolis, Maryland, during Arnold’s service in the Navy.
After fulfilling his duty in the Navy, Arnold, Jo, and their firstborn daughter Kim returned to Gardnersville. Arnold joined his father-in-law Brooker in the implement business and they had three more children: Matt, Brad and Mark. The year 1969 marked a significant milestone as Arnold and Jo purchased the implement business from Brooker.
The Ross family made their home in and around the dealership, as well as on a small cattle farm. Construction of their home began in 1973 and was completed in 1975 when the family of six moved in. Building the house was a collaborative effort for the Ross family. The boys recall spending afternoons after school hauling rocks from the creek for the fireplace and stone wall. The stone mason, an 82-year-old craftsman, relied on the boys as his "muscle" to lift rocks, mix mortar, and hoisting ‘ole Ben on the scaffolding.
In 2018, the Ross family sold the implement business but continued in the cattle business operating this farm and others around the county. The enduring dedication to farming is a tribute to Arnold and Jo Ross’s legacy. Today, their home serves as a welcoming haven for visitors from across the country, embodying the spirit and heritage of the Ross family.
