Unwind at this secluded retreat nestled quietly at the end of a wooded country road, along a rolling creek. The cabin was originally two cabins erected in the 1850s. In the 1970s, artist Jim Simon dismantled the log cabins and re-erected them on the Simon Family Farm.

Red Fox Ridge was named for the red fox often spotted running the ridge overlooking the river. Lots of history to be shared and made! Come stay a while.

The cabin offers modern amenities and has plenty of room to sleep 16+ comfortably. Two queen beds, one double bed, two twin beds, one trundle twin, two full futons, two full sofa beds, two sofas (one has two recliners); two full baths, one with a large tub and one with a shower.

Our galley-style kitchen boasts room to prepare any meal for all occasions. TV, WiFi, and laundry facilities. Guests are welcome to walk the area surrounding the cabin and make s'mores at the fire pit to experience the true serenity of country living.

You will be provided with a code for entry on your own.

At the Cabin:
* We supply coffee, tea, sugar and powdered creamer.
* The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
* We have a charcoal/wood chip grill, and a firepit for roasting the old-fashioned way.
* WiFi is Free. Smart TV has live tv and streaming services available for you to use with your own login.
* There is a gate and 2 pack n plays available. There's a high chair in downstairs hall closet.
* We have plenty of sheets, blankets and extra pillows for the various sleeping options, which are:
> 1st floor bedroom with queen bed and pullout sofa bed
>2nd floor bdrm with double, a trundle and two twin beds
> 2nd floor bdrm with queen, double futon, and fold out
bench that can sleep a single.
> 1st floor Living rm - three sofas, one is a sleeper sofa and one has two recliners
> Tower (3rd floor) - queen size futon sofa
> Plenty of floor space for air mattresses or sleeping bags

The location is calm and relaxing in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Cabin has a nostalgic feel with the timber structure and beautiful views. Our family had a relaxing stay here and greatly enjoyed the setting.

A beautiful old cabin that reminds you of your grandmother's house, surrounded by woods. A great way to fit grandparents and all the cousins to relax under one roof. The milestone bakery/cafe 5 minutes away is definitely not to be missed. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

We absolutely loved it and will visit there again. It was a great location for the Ark and Creation Museum, and the seclusion of the property allowed us privacy as well as a quiet and peaceful visit. Walking the paths through woods and fields and the creek nearby was beautiful. The old rustic homeplace cabin has so much rich history that you feel like you are taking a step back in time! I can't say enough good things about this place!! My entire family was enthralled.

The location was great to be in a calm and cozy country setting. Very family friendly, you have both inside and outside games. Host would contact you within minutes after you texted.

We had a large group with different age groups from church. Everyone loved the unique style of the house, the history, the how secluded it was and the amount of space outside for us to have activities. Several families wanted to buy the house. Thank you for sharing your place with us and our wonderful host for always answering questions before we even got there.

The Red Fox Ridge was just what we needed! I brought the family down to visit the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum and Cincinnati Zoo the cabin was perfectly located for this. The historic feel and country setting is unique and quiet. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us. The cabin was well equipped for cooking our meals, making s’mores and roasting hot dogs. We walked the creek and grounds nightly, didn’t see a red fox but plenty of turkeys and a few deer . We enjoyed the games both outdoors and indoors. We will definitely return and plan to recommend to anyone coming to the area.Thank you for opening you family home to us.
