The house was perfect. The house was clean and was well stocked with kitchen items, towels, blankets, etc. Communication with Elli was wonderful. Would absolutely book this house again!

Great location in Decorah

This was an excellent property for our needs. It was very clean and bright and tastefully decorated. It is close to town and Luther College. We would definitely stay again.

Easter Family Weekend

Beautiful home and the pictures were an accurate representation of the house. This truly is a location that feels like a home and we enjoyed spending Easter together here. A family friendly neighborhood and plenty of local offerings for everyone in the family.

Clean home! All you need!

Perfect home for my family while we visited Decorah. Home is very clean and stocked with everything you need. Close to campus and downtown, but out of the way in a quiet area right outside of town. Will definitely stay here again as we frequent the area often.

Perfect for Luther alumni traveling down memory lane

House is close to campus, close to downtown (everything is close in Decorah!). It’s beautiful, well taken care of and easy to rent. Five stars all around!

Dorian Music Festival @ Luther

Amazing stay! Close to campus and very clean. It was very easy to check-in and we loved all of the information ahead of time. It made the weekend run so smoothly. Hope to stay there again next year! Thanks for being great hosts!!

We had a very enjoyable time at this VRBO. The kitchen is stocked with all pots, pans, utensils, spices, etc. you could possibly need. Only recommendation is to bring your own pillows and an additional fan for sleeping if you so desire (there was one). If we are in the area again this would be my first choice. Thanks for having us!!!

College visit

My daughter, sister-in-law and I came down for a visit to Luther and to see Decorah. Our stay was great and we would have like to have been able to hang out longer in the house! Everything was impeccable and well designed. Nice setting and close to town. Highly recommend! Thank you for being a great host!

Wonderful home in a very nice community, ladies shopped and hiked, the guys fished. We would suggest more hooks to hang belongings on, the house is so nice we wanted to keep it that way during our stay. We were all over 65yrs so a bit more lighting in the bedrooms would be helpful. We loved all of the deer in the yard each morning!! We love Decorah and will be back.

Family Wedding Stay

We were in town for a family wedding. There were 4 adults and my 3 year old grandson staying at the house. The house was clean, decorated well with a very neat vibe. The wedding & reception were in Calmar so this property was situated conveniently to the wedding and reception site. Plenty of space for us all, games to play were a plus, and we took advantage of the record player and albums to play some great tunes throughout the house. My grandson enjoyed the campfire we built in the backyard the last night we were there. Would highly recommend this property if considering something in the area.

We are frequent visitors to the area, but not for extended stays. As a family, we are very particular on where we stay. When we booked the property, we were greeted quickly from Elli with information on the home and the area. Upon arrival, and I know this sounds odd, when we opened the front door, we were immediately greeted with the most refreshing, clean smell. It truly felt like walking into our own home. The property was spotless with amenities you will use during your stay. All the appliances are new and of a quality brand, the bedding is fresh and clean, and the bathrooms are spotless. Another plus, with three adults showering, doing laundry, and washing dishes, we never once ran out of hot water. It is such a wonderful and comfortable home we found ourselves making dinner and enjoying the backyard for dinner. A very quiet area with deer and small game everywhere. It is four minutes to downtown, two minutes to the beautiful college, a great place to walk to and see the grounds, and right off the Upper Iowa River trail. In closing, the host is wonderful, the property was perfect and so comfortable, and the town is charming. Thank you for hosting the McAllister family, you will have us as guests for a long time!
