Clean and quiet

We just needed a night to stay between flights. Unit was spacious, 2 beds, and inflatable mattress that was super comfy. We all haad our own private "corner"

Salem in October

The house has parking right in front. It’s a ten minute Uber ride to center of town. Everything was clean and neat. There were extra blankets if needed. We were very comfortable as a family of four. I’m glad we started our stay during the week because it becomes very crowded on the weekend. Salem is very fun!

Received multiple emails in regard to my reservation that was made a month ago. Got a confirmation email yesterday again confirming the reservation with a guest portal and check in times and some more information but no address. I immediately emailed the host about the address and received no response. My children and I drove 3 hours and upon arrival, I received an email at 12pm (check in 3pm) saying there was an issue and the home was double booked and that I could go to an alternative location in a different city. I requested that if I could not have my reservation fulfilled I wanted a full refund. Within minutes, I received an email stating my reservation was canceled and I would see a refund soon. Needless to say, my children and I spent the day in town and drove back home.

The place itself is fine, but the communication was pretty bad. The owner forgot to send me the code for the home, and I had to call and send a message to get inside. The toilet got clogged and the property did not have a plunger. I sent a text asking if there was one somewhere and the response was to look in both bathrooms and the basement, this property only has one bathroom, so they didn't even know the place I was staying at first. After I clarified there was no plunger they said to check under the sinks and if we couldn't get it unclogged, they would send someone tomorrow. I then responded saying there was nothing under the sinks and was left on read. I understand it was almost 9pm when I sent the text but when there are 5 people staying at a place and there is only one bathroom waiting until tomorrow isn't an option. I had to go to the store and buy a plunger myself.
