The space is best suited to two adults, with optional bunks for the little ones. The bunk beds are 63" long x 29" wide. The couch sits three. Two bar chairs are in the suite, with two more available upon request.

Unbeatable Experience

If you are looking for a comfortable and presious suit, a quiet place to rest, the and meet incredible people, you are in the right place :) The suit had everything you need, and much more, a comfortable sofa, dishwasher, microwave, stove, programable coffee machine, an incredible bed & pillows, full laundry, two TVs, gas chimney, a lot of space and drawers, all the cutlery you'll need, a nice bathroom and an independent closed patio (perfect for pets). Its in a very secure location with some bus stops near. Also Tara and Dan are incredible hosts, respectful, kind and always ready to help. (best hosts we ever known <3) We are sure you'll love it :)

1 bedroom with fully-equipped kitchen.

Tara was a very welcoming host and always available if I had any questions. Most of my dinners were eaten out, but the kitchen was fully-equipped for the meals that I prepared (breakfast, re-heating leftover dinners etc.) I'm a walker, so the short (12 minute) walk to downtown was easy. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were too flat for my liking. Next time I'll bring my own. :-) I would definitely stay here again!

Having had a wonderful stay at this property in April 2023, we booked again this year (2024), and we were not disappointed! Another great experience: clean and charming premises, fully-equipped and serviced so that one has everything one needs, and a charming and attentive host. The environs were quite and secluded with easy access to Sidney's wider facilities and waterfronts. A prefect place for us visiting our son who lives nearby. We thoroughly recommend it.

Sidney Oasis

We enjoyed our stay in our ground floor rental suite. The location was perfect; walking distance to downtown Sidney and close to public access beaches. The suite had all the amenities we expected plus a comfortable patio sitting area. Tara was a very approachable host and was quick to resolve the issues with the suite that occurred. Especially enjoyed some of the produce of her garden she gave us samples of. Hope to come again. Wayne & Monica

Quiet little spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tara's property! The basement suite was very clean and organized and had all the supplies we needed and more! We also appreciated the little private patio out the door. The location is great, we didn't hear any loud airplane noises and it was an quiet cult-a-sac. Thank you so much for being incredible hosts! Jeff Tanya Brynn

Quite simply the best experience possible

This property was perfect in every way for our five-week stay. The space was designed by our fabulous host,Tara, and shows a professional understanding of how to maximize space. The layout and lighting were excellent. The kitchen is very well-equipped and well-stocked, and the cozy but bright living room provided many evenings of TV watching (Netflix included!), game playing and reading. Our little dog, Bandit, settled right in to his new, temporary home and enjoyed his play times with Tara and Dan's sweet little dog, Penny. The fully-fenced yard gave Bandit a safe, new environment to explore and play in. We did not take advantage of our private patio because of the cool temperatures, but we did use the barbecue on a couple of occasions. An under-deck storage area allowed us to store our ebikes securely when we were not using them to explore beautiful Sidney by the Sea. The property is located on a quiet cul-de-sac about a 20-minute walk to downtown Sidney, and there are numerous access points to the harbour within easy walking distance. Which brings me to the host. Tara is quite simply one of the loveliest people you will ever meet, and a superb host. She welcomed us warmly, and throughout our stay was gracious, generous and kind. Whatever we needed, she provided. Honestly, this property is as good as it gets. Better, even!

Just perfect

The property was ideal for us, just the right size for two, everything laid on in the way of white goods, kitchen equipment, etc, The owner was very attentive and relaxed, catering for our every need. The outdoor space was lovely to relax in. We stayed here because it was close to my son who lives in Sidney, and he too was mightily impressed. Coastal walks along Roberts Bay and Shoal bird reserve are nearby and there is even a wonderful fish and chips place just down the road. We’ll be back!

Great location , friendly hosts

We stayed in Tara's suite for a month . The suite is very comfortable and well equipped .The neighbourhood is quiet, friendly and a short walk to town. Tara is a wonderful host and will help in any way to make your stay comfortable . We look forward to staying again

Wonderful Spot!

The unit was clean, modern, and quiet. Check in was straight forward and the host was easy to reach out to. Having the washer and dryer available was a bonus, as we were there for 8 nights. Location was great, literally walking distance to all the restaurants and shops we wanted to check out. Plus, it was so close to the water front. Would definitely book again! Thanks for a great stay, Tara!

Nice stay May 2022

We've stayed in numerous places and this ranks near the top with spacious living area, nice quiet street, kitchen, private entrance, terrace and full bathroom. Not far from Robert's Bay for beachcombing and walks in residential area.

Quiet, comfortable stay

We had an excellent stay at “Home Suite Home”. It is quiet and comfortable, close to downtown Sidney and easy to access the Saanich Peninsula and Victoria. Our hosts were friendly and could be quickly contacted when we had questions. We highly recommend it!

Great location and a warm welcome!

A lovely bright and quiet apartment with a well-equipped kitchen, comfy bed, lots of towels and anytime-access to the laundry room. An easy walk to the waterfront and Sidney's many shops, restaurants and coffee spots . Tara is a warm and welcoming host who's on hand for anything you need and also very respectful of your privacy. We'd love to stay again!

A Great Place to Stay

Tara & Dan’s suite was ‘homebase’ for 4 weeks for 2 active retirees & our 14 month old Cockapoo as we visited family & friends on Southern Vancouver Island. The neighbourhood is quiet & we felt safe there. It was an easy walk or short drive to/from downtown Sidney where we accessed grocery stores, bakeries, great eateries & lots of specialty shops! And a short bike ride to get onto some of the regional trails The suite was very quiet, clean, bright & well appointed. Loved having washer/dryer, 2 TV’s, fireplace, very comfy bed, wifi, well equipped kitchen & lots of bath towels! We really appreciated having a place to park our car & a spot to keep our ebikes! Due to variable weather we didn’t use the patio & BBQ area. Tara & Dan were very friendly & so welcoming... very gracious hosts!! Tara was quick to respond to any & all communications. Clean, functional suite very close to the ferry, walking distance to Sidney waterfront

The suite is exactly as advertised, very clean, very functional. All the comforts of home, in a convenient location. 5-6 minutes to the ferry terminal, walking distance to Sidney waterfront. Our family had a very pleasant stay at Tara's, we highly recommend it.

3 week summer family vacation

The suite was perfect for our family needs and Tara and Dan were excellent hosts. They went above and beyond with lending us crabbing supplies and giving us some fresh salmon, preserves and muffins. Would love to return.

Sidney by the sea

This property was fantastic. Very well situated in Sidney - close to the water and the main shopping and restaurant area. Tara was a great and engaging host. The property was well appointed and very comfortable. The private patio was an extra treat - I was able to enjoy the great weather and breeze! I highly recommend this property!

A short visit
