Very nice neighborhood. Close to the airport but it was still really quiet. Suit was very well put together and maintained. Much bigger than expected. Beds were very comfortable. Host was friendly and responsive to messages

Great spot! Google maps took us to the wrong location, but I promptly fixed that. Easy to get to and from anywhere you'd like to go. Would recommend!

Excellent stay with super-responsive hosts! Good access to Sidney across Highway 17, so a car is necessary. Well-maintained and well-provided property. Somewhat noisy because the ceiling requires noise insulation, and the pictures appear to show garden access, which isn’t included.

Location is great if airport is needed for a morning flight. Within walking distance to waterfront and the centre of Sidney. Uneven floor levels with slippery floor mats in bath & kitchen area are a fall hazard. Fire alarm sounded twice with no known cause. Footsteps and voices from upstairs was very noticeable after their 9pm requested quiet time (and early morning). Kitchen was well equipped, but could have used a mixing bowl.Otherwise, it suited our needs for two nights and an early flight out of YYJ.

Location was wonderful. Host was great. Fireplace came in handy. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was a good size. Some ants & a couple of cockroaches were present. The appliances; stove top kettle and the coffee press could be updated. The oven did not work but was told & had a small toaster oven if needed. The small pot could be newer. Washing machine could be cleaner and also the shower curtain could be cleaner. Being a basement suite, it was a bit noisy from upstairs. All in all 5 out of 10 rating.

It was very convenient to access Sidney and highway 17. The kitchen was nice and bright in the morning and the electric fireplace helped warm up the living area with cooler days.

Cute spot close to the airport. In an older house so you can hear the people living upstairs. Glad they are there as Sidney is under serviced in terms of hotels.

We enjoyed staying in the suite. The owners gave us enough privacy all the staying time so we felt respected. We checked out on time and nobody prompted us to go which felt noticeably good. Easy process to check in and check out. The suite was equipped with everything needed for the stay.

The Flying Flamingo was great! Very cute, I am in love with the decor. Also very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Walking distance or easily cab-able to the core of Sidney, and a short drive to Victoria.

Lovely home away from home

My family and I rented this place in March and in July, and both times we love our time on the Island in this suite. It is perfectly located, in a quiet corner but close to Sidney, it is clean and comfortable. It has everything you need to live cozy. Nobody bothers you, but if you need a support or have questions, the owner is always helpful. My family and I are planning to be back again.

Amazing location and host!

The place is clean, neat and perfect for our stay. Beds are so comfy. Location is great! Close to Victoria airport and Sidney Pier. It had everything we needed for our trip plus the host Wendy is very responsive. She let us checked in sooner and made our stay comfortable. Would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

This home is close to the ferry and airport. The amenities are as advertised, with bathroom, laundry and kitchenette. Could hear gentle feet above, but nothing disruptive. Our communication with the host was good, they even let us check in early.

Comfy

We had a comfortable stay - so much better than staying in a hotel. The host was very accommodating any time I had a question and sent a message. The footsteps from the family upstairs were a little loud at times, but all in all, I'm happy we had a nice place to stay in Sidney.
