This unit is a one bedroom one bathroom beach villa with unobstructed views of the water. It is approximately 25 paces to the beach. You have the use of 3 condo pools.

ALL Brand new furniture in bedroom and mattress as of 10/20/23 ALL new paint and new AC units

The unit has a queen sleeper sofa and one full bathroom.

The bathroom has a separate sink area and another area that has the tub/shower combo and toilet area. This is also nice since someone can be in the sink area and someone else can be taking a shower.

There is a new dining room set, two chairs in the living room, and a queen sofa. There are flat screen TV's in the living room and the bedroom smart TV's
Elevators are functional but I make no guarantees as if they will be working during your stay due to the fact they are mechanical items I will not do refunds if elevator decides not to work during your stay

Make sure to get travel insurance I strictly enforce the cancellation policy

amenities include soap and shampoo, towels, sheets, beach chairs, coffee filters, cutlery. but the dishwasher didn't work, left a big pool of dirty water after it ran, and fixtures in the bathroom like the shower doors, spigot in bathtub, and toilet paper holder were all loose and kind of falling off. one chair at the table had a leg coming off. mattress on fold out had stains on it, the bedroom had no window. it is a lovely location on the beach, and security was good, but the pool was shut and surrounded by construction tape, and this resort is an active construction site with steamshovels and heavy equipment starting work daily between 7 and 8 am right outside the entry door. Found many lovely shells, though!

The property is safe, clean, and comfortable. It is short walk to the “downtown” of Captiva Island, Andy Rosse Lane (15 minutes along the road and 10 minutes along the beach).

Captiva getaway

Loved the location and the ease of getting to the beach, pool and quietness. Ease of access to place and able to communicate with owner. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful views of ocean and pool. Outdoor grilling right outside condo. Comfortable and clean. Short walk to Andy Rosse lane for choice of restaurants and general store. Would definitely stay again.

NEEDS SOME WORK

Floors where filthy upon check in. Outlet in bathroom did not work. Exhaust fan in bathroom slowed down and got very loud so we stopped using it (second day ). loose out lite receptacles , missing outlet cover in kitchen. Toaster oven in kitchen looks like it had been threw a war. Bathroom tub disgusting upon check in.

Double booked

Location was good and instructions to access the unit were accurate. Check in time was 4pm. We arrived at 4:15. The problem was, another guest was already there with the same reservation. Left a vm and dm with the host at 4:30. Didn’t get a response from the host for 3 hrs. It was late Friday afternoon and we had to try and find alternate accommodations...we were lucky to find one. The host explained the other guest was in the wrong unit…not sure how they knew the unit # and access code. Very stressful and unfortunate situation. Cannot review the unit as we never got in to see it.

Perfect getaway

We had the best time relaxing and enjoying out stay. The view was absolutely amazing from the room. The closeness to the beautiful Gulf waters and the pool were perfect! There were plenty of chairs to take to the beach. I did contact the owner while there and received a quick response.

Great location

We had stayed at South Seas previously (in properties managed by the resort) and had a good sense when we booked if what we were getting. If you’ve visited South Seas and didn’t make use of most of the amenities, then VRBO is a great way to stay and Kim’s rentals are fantastic options. We especially loved having the beach chairs available. The view was amazing and the unit is within walking distance of Chadwick Square (Starbucks and shopping) and Doc Ford’s.

Better properties available in this location

We have stayed on Captiva in this exact grouping of condos 4 times prior. This property is in a really nice location, however it has seen better days. The floors (despite being cleaned) were filthy, our feet were black within 5 minutes of walking around without sandals on. The couch and pull out bed were very dated and old. The pull out actually lacked any springs on the bottom of it (they had all been removed) and your feet would fall out of the bottom of the bed. The main bedroom bed was very uncomfortable with big dips in the bed, you'd either fall into the center or off the edges of the bed. The bathroom was very dated and kind of gross. The drain was very slow to drain, and you would end up standing in a tub full of water while you took a shower. The beach supplies were overall good, although the beach umbrella was busted and we ended up having to go buy a new one. The umbrellas at the beach store were only $30, so not a big expense, but also an expense you'd think could be easily covered by the money you pay for renting a place. Having been to these condos before, I'd recommend renting a different unit. There are many updated units available in this complex, and the location is just perfect!

Great condo! Great location!

We have stayed at South Seas several times. Love this beach villa’s! On the beach and close to town. Kim was super easy to work with. Condo had everything we needed. Love the keyless entry! Makes quick in and outs so much easier. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great location and layout

Property was very nice! The sofa sleeper is not the most comfortable for an adult, but made due, as most are not and we knew that going into it. Overall, great experience and highly recommend!

Review

Older, run down complex in a good location. Unit had oversized furniture making a small unit seem even smaller. Couch could not be used for sitting because of springs. Couch and upholstered chairs stained and smelled sweaty. Unit has no windows and no overhead fans making it airless. The lanai is nice place to hang out and the view of the gulf and sunset is special. The kitchen has all the gadgets for cooking. There is a spice rack but the spices are too old to use.

Location was excellent

The condo unit cannot be considered luxury as the bed was very old and very worn out. The living room furniture was bad as well. You could feel the springs through the couch cushions. The sofa sleeper was worn out and very uncomfortable. There was only one good chair in the living room. I find it very hard to believe the owner stays here and calls it a luxury rental. The only thing luxurious was Captiva Island and the resort. The patio chairs were rusty. The appliances were very old The rust from the sofa sleeper got on the sheets. There were broken pictures hung on hallway wall. The shower enclosure was very loose and was about to fall off.

Absolutely perfect getaway in paradise

I have nothing but raving positive to say about my whole experience with my stay here. The check in and out process was smooth and easy,, cleanliness of the condo was outstanding, the location was AMAZING, as well as the view. We loved sitting on the balcony at night and listening to the waves. I have only stayed in houses previously on the island, so I was hesitant to stay on the resort because I like privacy and being away from people, however, it was very private and quiet. The beaches weren't crowded and we saw SO many dolphins. I won't stay anywhere else on Captiva again. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here.

Condo in somewhat bad condition

Bathroom had some mold, tub/shower faucet was loose and moldy caulk around it, shower doors loose, mattress worn and uniformly comfortable, porch screen was dirty and had a tear. Needs a cleaning/refresh (we were concerned that the tub/shower faucet was going to break off each time we showered!). Does not need a redo--just a refresh. Thanks.

Awesome beach getaway.

Rental property was as described on VRBO. Property owner Kim answered my questions promptly and very friendly. The view was gorgeous, unit was clean and comfortable. Great beach and pool access. Will rent again next year.

I have been coming to South Seas since my 18th Brithday. I am not going to mention how long ago that was but suffice to say that was a long time ago and I still love it!!!!

We have 6 total units in South Seas that we rent. We absolutely love this beach. The shelling is amazing. There is usually a very nice breeze and we love to sit on the screened in patio and watch the sun set. There is nothing like sitting and watching the sun set.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We have an owner locker, with 4 beach chairs, umbrella but not guaranteed since they get broken frequently and do not get reported broken, cooler, and sand toys. This is a GREAT benefit to have access to this locker area since any other properties I have seen for rent other than ours do not have this option. If you rent with others you will have to get or bring your own beach chairs, unbrella, and cooler. This can be expensive and I provide it for free with your rental. You also have access to this on the first floor so that you are not dragging this stuff into the unit and getting sand everywhere. Renters comment on this great benefit all the time for our other units on VRBO.
