Very nice and secluded. Perfect place to decompress. Very cozy. Loved to walk around the lake and the screened-in porch with the swing. If you are looking for a place that feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, this is it. We will definitely be back.

This was very peaceful trip. Super cozy and perfect for our anniversary trip. Unfortunately we didn't get to explore much due to Hurricane bringing lots of rain. Hopes to go back and enjoy the outdoors . The bed was super comfortable! Enjoyed sitting by the fire and the front porch swing. Could not find a good restaurant in Mentone, suggest you bring your own food to cook at the cabin. We grilled up a good steak and enjoyed! Would definitely like to make this stay again!

Private sanctuary

We loved this amazing refuge! From the sunsets to the fishing and the quaintness of the cabin, it was just what we wanted!

The cabin is secluded, rustic and quaint. We had a great time with our grandchildren teaching them how to fish and exploring Desoto State Park. Truly a majestic place if your looking for a peaceful stay to make memories.

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our rustic stay so close to many great hikes and Chattanooga. My kids enjoyed exploring the property and we saw many turkeys!

We were way back in the woods! Quiet, dark at night, warm and cozy. Nice walks around the cabin and a lake for fishing.

Cabin was exactly as pictured- a wonderful getaway deep in the woods surrounded by 6 ponds. Saw turkey and deer, close to Desoto State Park. Short drive to Lookout Mountain. Plan to book again in spring! Host is friendly and responsive

Rustic cabin with historic feel, but modern conveniences. Host was more than accommodating on check-in and checkout and offered if we needed anything in between, we didn’t. Wonderfully private place to have adventures, we did fishing and biking. Pet friendly, which was a big selling point for us, we like to take our dog everywhere. We especially loved the shower products and the water pressure in the shower, excellent. Somebody else noted that some of the doorways are low, and my 6 foot three husband unfortunately had to remind himself of this many times using his head, so be aware. Also, there are likely going to be some cobwebs and critter bugs in the cabin, but they were not in any places that mattered much to us, the kitchen was very clean. We can’t wait to come back when the weather is a bit cooler.

Secluded and beautiful

Great place. Pet friendly. Gorgeous property. Very, very private. Unfortunately we had to leave due to a medical issue but it was great.

We loved our stay here! The kids loved the rustic cabin and outdoor space. My son and my husband fished for hours and caught bass and bream. WiFi is great here. Very quaint and cozy, but clean and well appointed. Nice, full size toiletry items and a nice hairdryer in the bathroom. The bathroom lighting is a little dim, especially when taking a shower, but it wasn’t a big issue. If you are tall like my husband you will have to remember to duck through the doorways. The history of the cabin is so neat and we had a great time!
