Island Time is an enchanting oceanfront cottage perfect for couples

This charming cottage is the perfect getaway in the Outer Banks, especially for couples. Located in the quiet village of Hatteras, far from the tourist crowds of northern OBX, it offers a peaceful tranquility by the ocean.

Enjoy the views from the rooftop deck; see the mesmerizing ocean and dolphins playing on the surface of the water during the day. Enjoy a drink and view the most amazing sunsets in the evening. Bright stars accompany the nights from this vantage point.

Island Time is a free-standing cottage on stilts with parking for one vehicle underneath. The cottage is small so we have tried to maximize the space in an efficient yet tasteful way. The bed has a new Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress with a gel mattress topper. It's comfy! Linens are provided.

Beach chairs, beach umbrella and body boards are provided so you can immediately enjoy the warm sunshine on the beach. Bath towel sets are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.

The kitchen is well-stocked so you'll have what you need to prepare meals. Charcoal grills and picnic tables are provided on the grounds for those of you who grill-masters. Local restaurants are known for their great-tasting fresh seafood.

Wifi is provided so you can stream movies or TV shows on the smart TV from your favorite entertainment platforms.

No pets allowed unless you seek our prior approval.

We are new owners and we love this little oceanfront cottage. We're anxious for you to experience all the reasons we love the Outer Banks!

Clean, beautiful and laid out perfectly. Exceptional property that is very well maintained, with many appreciated amenities. Comfortable, thoughtful furnishings throughout. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked again for next year!

We absolutely love it here. perfect space for 2 people, we came here for our honey moon! close to the beach and amazing view from the rooftop deck. sadly our trip was during the storm so we didn’t get to go to the beach as much as we would like. the hosts were amazing and so nice! plenty of good restaurants we tried in the area and a convenient grocery store about 2 minutes away for any last minute things you may need! if we come back to hatteras this is where we are coming!

Lovely stay. The cabana was delightful—very clean and tastefully decorated. Kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was comfortable. Great communication from owner. We would love to come again!

The property feels private. Very pretty rooftop deck. Right at the ocean. Lots of amenities. It was very nice not to have to pack sheets, bath towels, plates, silverware, and pans! Cute decor.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We had never been to the Outer Banks before and it didn’t disappoint. The cabana is small, but it works well for two people. We had everything we needed during our stay. The unit was very clean and we loved that we could just park right underneath. Highly recommended for a couple’s getaway.

Really enjoyed our long weekend getaway at Island Time! The Cabana was clean and perfect for our stay. A few minutes walk to the beach with several eating and shopping locations nearby. Already looking forward to our next trip to Hatteras!

Great location and amenities perfect for a couple and maybe a child if okay with sleeping on couch or air mattress. Already booked for a week next summer!We look forward to future upgrades to the stove, back screen door, and the bathroom. The tub didn’t drain well and the toilet seat has visible wear and tear plus an outdated vanity but not a show stopper by any means! Overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice furniture to relax outside and parking under the cabana was convenient.

A lovely spot for a couple to share steps away from the beach! For as tiny as it is, I was happy with the amount of surface space to put things in the bathroom. I've stayed in bigger VRBOs and had no place to put things. Also, I knew there would be beach chairs, but sometimes they are a bit of a mess. These beach chairs were very nice and comfortable. Also, they included an umbrella that could handle the beach wind and had enough cover for 2. That is not listed in the amenities so I am not sure if someone else left it, or if they added it to the supplies. We had a very comfortable stay!

Great Couples Getaway

Cottage was clean up to date with a well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to some great shops and great lunch spot.Great beach. Other cottage guests were friendly and quiet at night.

Island Time was the perfect place for my wife and I to have a great vacation on the beach. This clean and affordable cabana is the perfect size for two and it is only thirty seconds from the beach. I will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful time

Great little cabana on a fantastic island. Really enjoyed the location, and everything about our trip. So nice to be right by the beach and have a cozy place to retreat to when needed. Hosts were great. Would definitely stay here again!

Great little place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Kind of quiet in the Outer Banks this time of year. But that’s what we needed.

Great location! The place was a bit worn and needed some updates compared to others around it. Was generally clean but quite a bit of dust near the door and under couch. It’s a rental so to be expected..overall good but have had better

The view was excellent and the beach access was among the best of any on the beach. The nice thing of the cabanas is you don’t hear anyone stomping around over your head or around you. No loud music or noise of any kind. I plan on going back next year and will stay in the same place
