We found the house very clean, quiet, safe, and a great location to visit the area! It was perfect for our family, and Ian was extremely helpful for any questions we had. I would highly recommend staying at The Drift Inn.

We enjoyed our stay at this older home in a clean, well-kept neighborhood. Communication and check in were good/easy. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. The egg rolls and other food at the nearby Nous grocery/ take out were great. This is an older home so the stairs are steep and bathroom small in keeping with when it was built. Nice to have the fenced back yard. We enjoyed our stay.

The Drift Inn is in a quiet neighborhood and has convenient off street parking. The bathroom and laundry room were nice and updated. Access to the property was easy. Host is great in communicating. Living room was spacious and the kitchen was well appointed.

Place was great excellent and in a great location. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. The location is very convenient to the interstate and quite a few local bars nearby. No issues other than the yard looks like it could use some TLC. Would definitely look to stay again.

I thought the home was adequate for a couple of days of overnight stays. Seems to be more of a place for college age people to stay. Furniture and window coverings are out of date. Cleanliness of rooms could be addressed further.

The place was clean and cozy. The rooms are quite small, and there is only one small bathroom. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. Perhaps a better sizing or repositioning of some furniture would help. The china hutch in the dining room is not necessary at all and would make that room more navigable. The outside could benefit from some trimming and weed control. Location is decent and provides quick access to I-90, and makes it easy to navigate LaCrosse. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Clean, comfortable stay

Overall, the stay was comfortable. The shower was big and roomy. The washer and dryer left A LOT to be desired. They are both really old and need to be replaced. The washer smells moldy and the dryer sounds like a rocket ship. There was even a note on the dryer saying how loud it was. I didn't get a picture of it.Other than that, it was a comfortable stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The home is very clean and the owner was very respondent. It is a two story older home, so you must be able to climb steep stairs. Check in and check out process was very easy. The appliances worked as they should and it was nice to have a dishwasher. It had a nice deck outside but bring your lawn chairs if you want to sit outside

The place is nice and Ian is an excellent host. We appreciated two parking places off street. Note that the driveway and entrance are on Hayes street. Overall, We enjoyed our stay. We do recommend that guests check all doors and windows to be sure they are locked when you arrive (we found some unlocked, but there were no issues). As a woman staying there solo and not knowing the neighborhood, I was extra careful. I hope Ian puts up curtains or blinds on all windows and doors. (I used safety pins and towels or pillow cases to makeshift my own for the side door and kitchen window while keeping the laundry room door closed during my stay.) The stairs are also very steep, so I recommend less ambulatory guests stay on the main level next to the bathroom. Overall, we had no issues and would stay again. Reasonable for the price.

It’s a comfortable house taking you back in the 1930’s in La Crosse. It’s recently renovated and it preserves the classic look of the house. Having the yard and the kids swing and the jungle gym is a bonus for guests traveling with children.
