About this space
Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish studio space. Newly renovated bathroom, bedroom and coffee bar at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac is ready for your visit to the beautiful coastal town of Cohasset. It is a very short walk to both the harbor and downtown with coffee shops, French pastries and several restaurants and bars. Cohasset has easy access to the train to Boston or a 15 minute drive to the commuter boat, which is the best way to go! We are about halfway between Boston and Cape Cod.
The space
The studio space is attached to the house but has its own exterior entrance and is very private. There are only peaceful woods on that side of the house. The unit is fully self contained and has a dedicated parking space. There is a patio and chairs for you to have a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine al fresco.
Other things to note
There is a private exterior entrance. The space is self contained and very separate from the rest of the house. It is a large studio room with very comfortable brand new queen bed and a love seat sofa. I could potentially provide a foam floor mattress for one additional person but please keep in mind that would share the sleeping area. The foam mattress could be stored in the closet during the day.

It is a 1/4 mile walk to the harbor and about 1.5 miles to Sandy Beach. There are amazing walks around town... look for the path behind the Lightkeepers / Bancroft Hall up to Beacon rock with a birds eye view of the harbor!

Downtown Cohasset has lovely restaurants and a couple of bars. A VERY good coffee shop (Seabird) and an authentic French bakery (French Memories) with delicious treats! All of these are about a 5 minute walk.

If you are going to Boston, the commuter rail stop in North Scituate is just over a mile away or my favorite way to travel is the commuter ferry in Hingham Harbor that is a 15 minute drive. It runs all year and is VERY reliable!

Perfect location for a 50th birthday party we attended nearby. Suite was super clean with lots of amenities. Quiet location and perfect for 2 people. Hope to be back soon!

Excellent location -easy 5min walk over to Main St or down to the harbor. Caroline messaged us on our day of arrival to see if we needed anything. Honestly, she’s already set everything up so well.Property is immaculately clean, very comfortably furnished, quiet & private.Host provides nice touches such as black washcloths for makeup removal, hot water kettle (in addition to expected coffee maker), games, books, beach towels and well equipped kitchenette. There is a small outdoor seating area to enjoy your coffee and the birds in the am. Would definitely stay again.

Can down for a weekend getaway and a concert with my wife and we had a great weekend. Property is very nice and well kept and being on a dead-end road there wasn't much noise. Would definitely stay here again

This property was ideal for a weekend 1st Communion Celebration. It was close to the church and to my son's home. Very, very clean and private location. Property was as advertised. Host communication was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay while visiting family in the area. The private guest suite was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and located in a quiet neighborhood. Communication with the host was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were easy and seamless. The bed was especially comfortable, which we appreciated after long days.The only small suggestion would be adding stepping stones leading to the door, as it was rainy during our stay and walking through the grass left our shoes wet. It was a minor issue and did not take away from an otherwise great experience.We would definitely stay here again when visiting family and highly recommend it to others.

There are postive and negative aspects to my review, and I don't write negative reviews unless there really was a big issue. The host messaged me 3 weeks before the trip, after time to cancel and receive a full refund, that she controls the temperature remotely, and we would have to message her to adjust the A/C. The first afternoon the host turned on the A/C when we asked, but turned it off during the night, even though the A/C tower for her own home, attached to the VRBO studio, was runnning all night and keeping her cool. I woke up at 3am with a hot flash, and laid there sweating, but feeling it would be too rude to message her that early, to turn the A/C on again. The 2nd day, we had to ask the host to turn the A/C on 3 separate times, because she kept turning it off. The last time, at 10pm, I had to message her repeatedly and call her, which went straight to voicemail. I even explained that I have an autoimmune disease that causes me to overheat and become sick, begged her to turn the A/C on, and put ice on the back of my neck. All the while, the host's own A/C tower was running consistently, keeping her home cool. It took her 45 minutes to respond, seemingly annoyed at my request. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight, and had to get up at 4am to travel home. Controlling the temperature and ignoring reasonable requests to make it cooler is a bad way to save money as a host. Positive: It was very clean and well maintained.

I'm sorry that Katherine seems to think that there was some sort of nefarious plot to keep her as warm as possible. I have the downstairs AC zone on a schedule that seems to work for about 75% of my guests but I'm happy to adjust for folks who run hot or cold or during more extreme weather events etc. In the summer it goes cooler around 9:30pm and about 3 degrees warmer at around 8am. As soon as she requested it lower when she arrived for an early checkin, I immediately turned it down. There were one or two other requests to figure out that she wanted it extremely cold, significantly colder than any guest I'd ever had, which I don't have a problem with. She did not message me during the first night, which I probably would have seen, though possibly not immediately. (I have the standard nighttime iPhone settings where a second call from the same number will ring through in an emergency but that quiets regular app pings.) And I could have turned it further down. Her second and final night, I forgot that the temperature would automatically 'turn down' at 9:30 however that number was higher than her request, so the compressor didn't kick on immediately. I fell asleep from about 10-10:35 watching tv and did not see the high volume of messages that came in between 10:07 and 10:28. As soon as I saw them at about 10:35, I immediately messaged her 'sure one second' and then immediately turned it back down to the number that she seemed to think was comfortable earlier in the day, which is where it stayed until she checked out in the morning. Perhaps she would be more comfortable with her medical condition in hotels where every single room in the building has a separate zone rather than in a house.
