Shady Creek a Relaxing Retreat on Jonathan Creek
Our beautiful home sits on Jonathan Creek and offers a 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that is clean & cozy. Short-range mountain views, creek-side enjoyment, as well as a 6-person hot tub to help you relax and rejuvenate. Listen to the sounds of the rushing creek, trout fish, float and play in the protected waterways of this beautiful creek. A flat back yard with fire pit provides evenings of fun around the campfire.
Shady Creek is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Smoky Mountains, Soco Falls, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and Lake Junaluska and Maggie Valley Golf Club. Nestled on the valley floor Shady Creek has short-range mountain views out front and sounds of the rushing creek in the back. Occasionally glimpses of black bears and elk are available right in our backyard. Please be cautious and maintain a safe distance when observing any wildlife. Our cabin is in the heart of Maggie Valley with close proximity to area conveniences. We hope you create bountiful memories at our cabin. Located off a connector road to Soco Road - the home is conveniently located to get you where you want to go exploring or if you want to relax by the mountain stream.
When you arrive, you will be greeted by the sounds of Jonathan Creek and the custom designed bear carving that was once a large sycamore tree. Once inside, you will enjoy a clean, cozy 3BD/2BA cabin. We provide enough amenities to get you started, but you will need to bring everything you require to have an amazing creek side, mountain experience.
A quiet and relaxing location with a bold creek right outside your door! Opportunities to enjoy views off the front porch, back porch and patio.
Modern, yet rustic, family and friend gatherings will be memorable. The bedrooms all have queen-size beds, each equipped with cable televisions and DVD players. The fully functional kitchen has a dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, glass-top range and refrigerator.
Strong Wi-Fi. In the mountains there can be interruptions. There are no guarantees.
Gas Log Fireplace, Living Room
Propane Grill (each guest who uses it is required to clean it after use). Propane provided by owner.
Central Air & Heat
Laundry Room with Washer & Dryer, Ironing Board, Iron, Vacuum, Cleaning Supplies
Enjoy the relaxing backyard which borders the bold creek. The hot tub, patio seating for 6, double porch swings on the covered back porch, fire pit and party lights complete the backyard oasis. Occasionally you will see a small herd of elk walk through the yard. Usually the ducks, ground hogs, chipmunks, squirrels and lots a birds offer viewing entertainment.
For our outdoor motor enthusiasts the roads are paved and flat with year-round access and parking for two vehicles. If you are pulling a trailer let us know as we have options available for storage.
We allow dogs for a $75 pet fee. A pet agreement will need to be agreed to as well. We ask you to please clean up after your dog and to be considerate of others when leaving your dog outside.
This is a non-smoking home. We do allow smoking on the porches and outside and smoke pots are provided. Please do not throw butts in the trash can or in the yard or driveway.
