The place was very good overall. Only thing was it was hard to regulate the temp. One room was freezing and one room was hot. Minor detail when you spend most of the day at the beach. The place is close to the beach access, the place was clean, the shower was great. You need to drive to go eat unless you are into walking longer distances. For the price and what you do get I would stay again and recommend to others.

Great condo. It was just myself, my husband and our teen so it was a perfect size. We loved that it was away from the busiest part of the strip by the beach. We loved our private beach area. We loved the pickleball courts. The pool is nice but has some strict rules we don’t like on vacation.

I have stayed at Gulf Shores Surf and Raquet club 3 times now and I love the complex..beautiful pool..right across a small street to beach.We booked the unit and I had sent a message asking if there was a door on the bedroom with no response from the host until AFTER I booked stating yes..there ISNT..so it’s more like a studio than 1 bedroom..really just for two people..my stepson wanted to come stay for the weekend portion of the week we booked and it was very awkward..there is no lock on the sliding glass door..just a piece of wood securing it..but it is on the 2nd floor..the unit is pretty and was clean..At the end of the building, so that is nice..I just wish we had known about the door..also, we have stayed at properties that are managed by the owner and they usually have more items like beach supplies, spices, ect..being that this is managed by a Property Management company..it’s the bare minimum..I would stay at the complex again for sure..but not sure about this particular unit.

I’m very sorry we didn’t respond to your pre‑booking question and for the surprise that the bedroom does not have a door; that should have been made clear. The unsecured sliding door is also a legitimate concern and not how we want guests to feel. We’ll update the listing description and photos to clarify the layout, share this with maintenance to add a proper latch/lock, and review adding more beach and kitchen basics. If you’d like to share any photos or additional details, please send them through Vrbo messaging so we can follow up. We hope to host you at the complex again.
