Wonderful restoration of an old cabin with modern amenities. Beautiful private setting with good river access. Close to small town of New Castle, which has a full service grocery store, and several great places to eat nearby.

Great cabin! Came in to visit family and it became the hub for everyone. Plenty of space for people to spread out whether that was fishing at the creek behind the cabin, the fire pit (he had wood ready) or dinner on the outside patio (well equipped kitchen). Communication with Sonny was great. Would definitely stay again.

This property is perfect. We were visiting with our dog so outside space was important. We wanted someplace with enough privacy that we could let Enzo outside off leash without any worries. That outside area was perfect for that. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. There were "spares" of items that were common forgot to bring and they we conveniently there. Sonny stopped by and gave us a little history on the cabin which was very interesting. Overall the stay was excellent. We would come back. Thank you Sonny for letting us stay in your cabin. It was just what we were looking for!

We really enjoyed our stay. The creek access was very fun, firepit was fully stocked, beds were comfy, and our hosts really went out of their way to help us when our car broke down on the trip. You will be in good hands!

Overall, the place was the most beautiful tranquil peaceful place I have seen and stayed at in a very long time
Caught a sunny and loved every second on Kyak. So happy you had everything right there.

We spent a wonderful couple of nights with family here to celebrate Virginia Tech graduation. The house was clean and adorably furnished. The weather was great, so we spent a lot of time outside playing the provided yard games (cornhole, horseshoes) and canoeing on the water. Communication with the host was excellent - we always got a quick response to our questions. This is a peaceful and charming property.

Everything was as we expected with the cabin. We had everything we needed to make a successful trip. Did lots of hiking this trip and plan to return in the summer months to take advantage of the water. Town has a grocery store up the street and we stopped everyday for dinner supplies and enjoyed the cabin grounds.

With town close and adventure around the corner, this is a good spot to stay. Clean cabin, great communication with owner, would recommend.
