Sandy River’s Hush: Peaceful Riverfront Cabin Near Mt. Hood

Sandy River’s Hush is a warm, secluded cabin on 1.2 acres above the Sandy River. Made for slow mornings, lively dinners, and the kind of quiet you can actually hear.

The property offers four distinct sleeping spaces for up to 10 guests:

• Main-floor suite: King bed, ensuite bath, soaking tub, and separate shower
• Upstairs queen suite: Queen bed with private tub and shower
• Upstairs twin room: Three twin beds beside a full bathroom
• Detached bunkhouse: Four built-in bunks, full bathroom, lounge area, streaming TV, and PlayStation

Every bed is dressed in Pendleton bedding, with Pendleton towels in every bathroom.

The main cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas, a reading nook, and an indoor wood stove. Outdoors, you’ll find a spacious yard, gazebo, deck seating, and a propane fire pit. Outdoor wood fires are not permitted.

The detached garage provides a convenient place to store and dry outdoor gear after skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or mountain biking.

PEACEFUL BY DESIGN

Sandy River’s Hush is a quiet retreat, not a party house. It sits on a quiet dead-end road in a peaceful residential community. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

ABOUT THE RIVER

The Sandy River flows approximately 40 to 50 feet below the cabin. You can hear it throughout the property and see it from several areas above.

A private trail leads toward the river, but it is steep and rough, with loose dirt and rocks. It is not a casual stroll and may not be suitable for everyone. Guests who use the trail do so at their own risk. River access depends on weather and river conditions and is not permitted during the winter months.

Even without using the trail, the sound and views of the river create a peaceful backdrop throughout your stay.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Maximum of 10 overnight guests

• Base rate includes up to 4 guests. Additional guests are $35 per person, per night. Please enter the complete guest and pet count when booking, and update us if this changes. There is no separate cleaning fee.

• Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome with a flat $75 pet fee per stay

• Outdoor wood fires are prohibited (propane fire pit is available)

• Exterior cameras monitor the driveway, the front-door entrance, and the area behind the detached bunkhouse. There is also one mounted out back and faces away from the house toward the river; we use it to check river levels and wildlife. The exterior cameras record video only; audio recording is disabled. There are no indoor cameras.
