Unwind on Lake Salem at this adorable cabin. With 3 bedrooms including 1 queen bed and 2 full beds, this cozy retreat offers a terrific living room with a bunk bed for extra sleeping space. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like a washing machine, AC, WiFi, and more. The primary bathroom is equipped with a shower and a hairdryer. The 1/2 bath is conveniently located on the upstairs living area. The beauty of this cabin is the exceptional sunsets facing west across the lake, multiple indoor and outdoor areas for varied activities or privacy, and it is fully equipped with canoes, SUPs & a kayak for your enjoyment. This year-round cabin is perfect for Summer, Autumn, and Winter. There are 4 ski resorts nearby (Jay Peak is the closest), and we are directly on the VAST trail. We are 5 miles from the Canadian border to enjoy Nordic spas or stroll around the adorable town of Magog. We hope you'll enjoy our cabin as much as we do.

The place was super nice and everything you could think of was provided. The weather agreed with us and a wonderful time was had by all. Definitely was a nice, comfortable, and very pleasing place. Five out of five stars for sure.

As we settled in for a week at Salem Lake, there were thoughtful touches at every turn. The essentials were complete: good beds with adequate blankets and pillows; plenty of towels for house and beach use; a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed including good knives; and living areas that provided spaces for both gathering and quiet time. Then there were the extras: thoughtful dog amenities such as leads at every outdoor level, bowls, beds, treats; wood, newspaper, and kindling for camp fires; a compact desk space with adequate privacy; many choices of watercraft; and a lovely view of the lake with daily sightings of heron, ducks, gulls and, on occasion, a bald eagle and kingfishers. Well done!

Beautiful property and great location

The lake was so warm and the sunsets were beautiful. It is a sweet cottage with room to spread out having two separate living spaces, upstairs deck, and downstairs patio. The grassy yard by the lake is large with nice sandy access to the lake and dock. Our dog got his first canoe ride here - so fun! It’s also in a convenient location not far from stores, golf, a brewery, and restaurants. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

Well stocked house, coffee pot, spices and oils for cooking. We had family commitments in the area and didn’t get to use all the amenities (ie boats, dock, bbq). Beds were comfortable and lake views were beautiful. Lighting strips on steps to camp were a nice touch too. We even had a loon sing to us as we were leaving! Love the NEK and the lakes!

Our stay was awesome. We were able to launch our boat and keep it at the dock. We are a fishing family who have been going to Lake Salem for many years, and the fishing was great during our stay! The house overlooks the lake beautifully, and the view from the deck, especially at sunset, is really nice. (The walk down from the house to the lake is a little steep, so we got a good quad workout!) The house itself had everything we needed for our time there. Derby Center and Newport are short drives away, so stores, restaurants, etc. are not far. The Northeast Kingdom is my family's favorite part of Vermont, with much more to see and enjoy than people know. At the same time, it thankfully has not changed that much over the years, which is wonderful. Our host was very accessible, very hospitable, and very good with communication. And finally, the house is extremely dog friendly! I would certainly stay here again.
