The Mermaid Cottage! Centrally located, pool, and loaded with extras!
Enjoy a fun coastal experience at this Brunswick County NC centrally-located home! With a neighborhood pool, outdoor dining and activities in the backyard, your stay at The Mermaid Cottage will have you wanting to come back here each year! Area beaches are just a few minutes away as well as top rated golf courses, public pickle ball courts, excellent local restaurants, shopping and more!
This home is brand NEW and has been tastefully decorated to fit our coastal theme! As you enter the home you will make your way into the large living space. A huge sectional couch, sleeper sofa, board games, and SmartTV make this a great place for everyone to hang out. This space is open to the fully loaded kitchen through a dining area where there is a hightop table. The kitchen has a large island with barstool seats and easy access to the backyard!
The primary bedroom is spacious with a Queen Beds, Plenty of storage, and an Ensuite. The ensuite has a large double vanity and beautiful walk-in shower. The secondary bedroom is also equiped with a queen bed and a great place to unwind. Down the hall there is another full bathroom, storage with some beach essentials, and a laundry room.
Outside there is plenty of parking and spaces to enjoy in the front and back! The front porch is a great place to enjoy the peaceful neighborhood with your morning coffee or evening cocktail. In the backyard you find a Screened Porch, Outdoor shower, Party Deck, and BBQ!! Its a great place to relax, play some lawn games, and cook up some dinner after a long day at the beach will the kids or pets run around.

We stayed at the Mermaid Cottage for 5 nights and it was a great little getaway! We enjoyed the amenities and the Host was great to work with. I highly recommend this property and we would stay there again!

Our family had a great time staying at the Mermaid Cottage. The house was clean (smelled great!), decorated, and updated. The quiet neighborhood was in the perfect spot to travel to all the different beaches.The host was approachable and easy to connect with. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

Cottage was very clean and just as described. Had everything we needed for our week stay. Host was very prompt in answering our questions. Would definitely recommend.

Neighborhood was very nice! Wish the pool was open, but enjoyed 2 different beaches. House was just right for 3 people

We had to get out of our house for a few days to allow for some work to be done. After a fairly exhaustive search we found this spot and it was excellent. The owner was a pleasure to work with, the location suited all our needs (golf, beach, restaurants, etc.) and it was dog friendly.Property was exceptionally clean and would rank in the top one percent of all the previous VRBOs I've experienced. The house was well stocked with what you would expect and the beds were very comfortable. Great place for pets and the neighborhood pool right on the block was a definite bonus compared to other options. I would highly recommend The Mermaid Cottage and would happily stay there the next time I am in the area.

Wonderful Stay
My family and I had a wonderful week long stay. The house was clean and comfy, we loved all the beach decor. The location was perfect and was just a short drive to restaurants, the beach and shopping. We enjoyed the pool and the owner was always available to answer our questions. We hope to return next year!

The home and the location was amazing. We used to live down by the inlet view that is why we chose the house. If it is available next year, I would be more than happy to rent it.

Everything was perfect. This property was amazing, friendly neighbors, super clean, and had everything we need! Conveniently located in the town and just a quick drive to access anything needed. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this property and host!!!

The house was clean and welcoming! Just a short drive to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The host was quick to respond to messages and dropped off an item needed in a quick and timely manner. Would definitely book again for future visits.

The Mermaid
We had a great time. We got locked out one night and Amy advised where the backup key was. The pool is very clean and warm. I would definitely come back again.

We loved the house. Everything was great. Most importantly one of the cleanest houses I've ever stayed at. Which is one of my top priorities. Will be booking again with them. Highly recommend!

House was adorable and very clean. Convenient to Holden and Sunset Beaches. Also very convenient to local shops and restaurants in Shallotte. Kids enjoyed neighborhood pool, playing Cornhole out back. Helpful outdoor shower for after hitting the beach. Very reasonably priced.
