Had at absolute blast at the Sweet Carolina Retreat. The place was very nice with all the amenities. We had three families with kids and felt very comfortable. The trolley station to the beach club was right down the road which made beach access convenient. The pool was really nice. The kitchen was stocked to the nine with everything you need for home cooked meals. Highly recommend!

The house was fabulous. Everything - pool, kitchen, bedrooms, cleanliness - was great. Plenty of room for our 11 people. My best experience on VRBO.

This is an excellent location for anyone staying in sea pines. Perfect setup in the back yard with the pool, tv, seating, and hot tub.Easy bike ride to the beach. Clean, updated finishes on the inside.Highly recommend this home.

The Sweet Carolina Retreat was exactly that. It is a beautiful property in a great quiet location with a lush private backyard with a pool, hot tub, outside bar with a TV and everything you would want for activities. The hosts were gracious and everything about the property was well thought out and we wanted for nothing during our stay. We were four adults and we each had our private space and bathroom. However the house can easily accommodate two families with kids and still feel spacious. Everything about it was upscale and comfortable and the hosts were very responsive during booking, questions during our stay, and checkout. Would highly recommend this property for a relaxing family vacation. The pictures are spot on and everything is clean and well maintained.

The host was amazing and so easy to communicate with!we got in many hours early and she worked with us to get in house before normal check in time!The property was beautiful and our family had a blast staying!Pool got a little chilly easy fix after a text to host!we truly enjoyed our stay

From our first time in the door I knew this was a winner! The house was spotless, fully set up with everything ever needed for a full crew. There was detailed information for every situation from passwords, garbage day, pool cleaning day, lawn mowing day, maps of routes to many locations, how to operate everything from hot tub to fabulous grill and fire pit. The pool was amazing complete with lots of toys and the biggest pool noodles. The tiki bar was perfect for keeping up with The World Cup while floating in the pool or sitting at the bar. So many places to lounge inside and out! We were only a family of 6 but could have accommodated many more still with room for privacy or just having a quiet place to get away from everyone. At first I thought 2 dishwashers was a bit much but they sure came in handy. The house location was perfect for easily biking everywhere, to the beach, lighthouse, Salty Dog or just sightseeing. Mindy was very quick to respond to me before and after our stay in her home. She had a delivery coming and was very concerned it may have been an inconvenience to us and we assured her otherwise. I'm hoping to make this home a family tradition! You absolutely can't go wrong with wanting to stay here!

Outstanding Home

While it was just my husband and I and our two college aged children, this is a fantastic spot for a larger family gathering or friends. We use airbnb and vrbo all over the world and this was one of our favorite spots ever. What sets it apart is the activities available at the house - above and beyond what the island has to offer. The pool isn't just a pool, it is an outdoor entertainment mecca - with an outdoor bar and TV, hot tub and tons of games for both in and out of the pool. Indoors has two large family rooms with Tvs and lots of seating. Plenty of board games provided as well. The kitchen is very well appointed for families that like to cook. The house by itself was a vacation destination - add all there is to do on the island (which our host provided a very detailed list) and you have everything for a top notch getaway. We loved this place and will be back with more family!

We had an amazing stay at Sweet Carolina Retreat! The house was spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfect for our group. The pool was absolutely gorgeous and quickly became everyone’s favorite spot. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub, gathering around the fire pit in the evenings, and spending hours playing ping pong together.The large kitchen and open living area made it easy for everyone to cook, eat, and spend time together, while the home’s thoughtful layout also offered plenty of private spaces to relax when someone wanted a little quiet time.Mindy was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. She made everything seamless from check-in to check-out. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable, beautiful place to make lasting memories.
