Amazing location on Cathead Bay; tranquil, away from the hustle and bustle. Recommend stopping for groceries on your way to the property. Would definitely stay again.

We recently returned from a week at this amazing property. Truly a hidden gem in one of the most beautiful spots in the state. We have been renting in the Leelanau Peninsula for about 15 years, always with a group of approximately 8, and this home is our favorite. Plenty of room for all, furnishings were new and clean…in fact the entire home was spotless. The living room and attached dining room are large but at the same time cozy. Lots of seating inside and out around the tables for eating. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. The one thing that we appreciated the most was the walking mat that was installed on the sand. My mother-in-law has mobility issues, and this allowed her to access the beach with ease. Had it not been there, she would have struggled navigating the small dune. Thank goodness this was not a problem!We loved our stay and Mike was a great host. Thank you again!!

This is an exceptional property! Superb location on a quiet, sandy beach. We love Cathead Bay, and especially love Sandcastle; it will always have a special place in our hearts. The home is very spacious with ample & flexible sleeping spaces, fully-stocked kitchen, loads of indoor entertainment options, a large deck equipped for dining and lounging, multiple balconies, a fire pit and seating area, and, of course, sand/beach toys for enjoying Lake Michigan. The host has gone above and beyond to make this place a memorable getaway for a wide variety of guests, and it shows. It's truly a magical spot.

This was truly a remarkable find! We have been coming up to the Leelanau Peninsula for the past 15 years, and this was a new area for us. We brought a group of people from 3 different generations, and there were great features available for everyone. The location is amazing, the property is exactly as advertised, the owner is helpful and communicative, and the atmosphere is serene, relaxing, and beautiful. Easy access to Northport, all of Cathead Bay, the State Park, the Grand Traverse Light House, and Mud Lake. Peterson Park and Christmas Cove Beach are also close. We are already making plans to return to this property next summer!
