This is our second year at Andrew’s cottage and it’s perfect. The house is huge and great for our group of three families and the lake is crystal clear.

This is a beautiful property on the beach in Sutton’s Bay. The house is fully updated, well appointed amenities, quiet, and spacious. Our host made sure we were comfortable and it was one of the easiest check out procedures. I would highly recommend the Lodge for family reunions / vacations - our kids said it was one of their best trips and get togethers.

Wonderful house and stay. Very well stocked kitchen. Clean! The host is very responsive and helpful. We had an issue with some lingering fruit flies and the host immediately sent out traps and suggestions. Love this house!

This property is over the top gorgeous! The kitchen is so well stoked that it makes cooking so easy. The view is outstanding and location is close to everything! We will be staying here again!

The property is absolutely stunning. The host goes out of their way to ensure you have a great time with little extras like local attraction summaries, extra beach towels, etc. We could not ask for a better place to stay.

Our family vacation was wonderful. The Step Lodge was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. Everyone loved our vacation, especially the water sports and swimming.

Sutton Bay Retreat

Great location, very inviting home, lots of room for seven adults and a toddler with excellent outdoor entertaining space. Perfect Getaway for the family, steps from Grand Traverse Bay and a short drive to all of the Leelanau peninsula's attractions.

We had a really lovely stay at The Step Lodge. The nice open floor plan was great for large group meals and games. We had kids from 5-13 yo who kept busy with games and water activities. Adults enjoyed the views and ease of getting llllll

Beautiful, peaceful, so well equipped! Definitely will be rebooking

Family oriented…something for every age to connect with! Comfortable accommodations with quiet, peaceful views of the lake. Everyone in our extended family enjoyed their stay…ages 3-79! We also enjoyed highlights of lake towns surrounding this beautiful home.

We had a wonderful time at the step lodge! The house is beautiful, very roomy and immaculate. It was perfect for a large family! The view from the outside deck is awesome and the lake was great for cooling off. Our host was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful stay.

Love this place!

Our family really enjoyed this place!! Beautiful, clean and on the water!! The host is a great communicator and willing to help whenever needed. Short trip to cute little town of Sutton’s Bay. Great location between Traverse City and Leland. My grandchildren want to go back to this same house next time.

Our family had a wonderful week at The Step Lodge! The house is in a beautiful setting and perfect location for the many great activities in the Leelenau area. The view of the bay from the deck and beach was serene. The house had everything our family needed for a memorable and comfortable stay. It was an outstanding week's stay in a wonderful property. Step Lodge is fantastic for a group. We had three families staying at the cottage and the house was perfect. We had a house-wide ping pong tournament and loved swimming off the dock. The cottage is better than advertised! 10/10 for sure.
