Beautiful property. Decorated in the period of the home. Easy to get to downtown Franklin, Cool Springs, etc. Mary Ellen was very easy to communicate with and we felt very welcome.

This beautiful home is like stepping back in time. We loved every minute we stayed there. It’s a beautiful and easy walk to downtown Franklin. The back yard is so nice with a large fire pit. Great host and easy check-in.

Lovely accommodation, great location

Check-in was super easy. Great for 2 to 3 couples. Location is great for access to downtown and several historical sites. Well kept historical home. Love the old furnishings.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time, I was a bit nervous it was the first time Gonda and I had been away from our Daughters and Grandkids at Christmas. We celebrated Christmas a few days early and headed out, turned out to been a great trip for just the two of us......

This had it all ! Comfortable, convenient and clean. Furniture and bed was so comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. Highly recommend!!!!!

Fantastic home. Mary Ellen does it right. Great location, easy to get everywhere.One suggestion, a TV in the master bedroom downstairs would greatly add the the stay.

Lovely property

We spent four nights. Beautifully maintained historic home with modern conveniences. Wonderful neighborhood in Franklin. Especially enjoyed the hall tree and antiques.

This was a lovely home. Mary Ellen thought of everything! Kitchen was well appointed with everyhing needed to prepare a meal. I would recommend it particularly for a large family. Spacious rooms.

We could not have asked for a more charming home for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving in Franklin and Nashville! The location was right around the block from our relatives! The three bedrooms were very comfortable. The remote fireplace and shades were convenient modern touches to a beautiful historic home. We enjoyed the games provided and found the kitchen very accessible and well appointed. Mary Ellen could not have been nicer and we cannot wait to return!

A perfectly refreshing stay

Everything was exactly as described with the check-in process. This is a lovely home and it was clear that the owner had gone to a lot of effort to think of every detail. It was a quiet and relaxing time for us to catch-up. If you are considering staying at this property, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for allowing us to share this home for a few days. It was wonderful!

Best rental experience we have ever had!

Our family of 4 rented this property in order to have more space while visiting family over Thanksgiving. It was definitely a home away from home and very well appointed. We utilized the grill and enjoyed dinner at the home. Our teenage musician enjoyed having the piano to play, and the young reader we have was thrilled with the selection of books. The best part was we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We are definitely planning a return visit.

I live in Nashville and had a friend visit me for a fall weekend. I wanted to try a staycation and I wanted my friend to see adorable Franklin, as it is one of my favorite places. Another friend who lives near this property recommended it, as she said she walked by it often and thought it looked lovely. (She and I also looked at the pictures and reviews together). The "FBI" did not disappoint in any way. It is very clean and everything was beautiful. What made it really stand out was how generous a host Mary Ellen was. Unlike most VRBOs I have stayed at, she has it fully stocked and it lacks nothing. I even left a box of freezer bags in the drawer because why not add to the place so others might benefit? Mary Ellen was also great about communication. We did not have any issues at all, but there was one closet she could not open and she warned me about that. We loved our time there and it was much too big for two of us, but we wanted to be close to town. We also loved that it is close to Fainting Goat coffee, which was delicious and helped us start our days off right. I have been telling everyone I know about this place and I would not hesitate to go back again. Truly the best VRBO in which I have stayed!

BFI was the perfect house for our family. Two rooms with King Beds and a room with two twins worked out perfectly. The house was very clean and perfectly appointed with plenty of towels and pillows. And the backyard with the fire pit was a nice touch with the grandkids. The location was also within walking distance of charming downtown Franklin. A perfect place.

The best of Christmas celebrations

Four days of total enjoyment! The home has a feeling of history and warmth. Easy to walk to Franklin center and enjoy the community. The fenced backyard is perfect for animals and the use of the fire pit was used for a family Christmas Eve. We are from the west coast and will stay here on a return trip.

Mary Ellen was excellent to work with and always there in case we needed her. Fantastic house with all the comforts of home. Strongly recommend for small or large families. Great location. House is rich in history. Extreme comfort.
