One of the best vacations rental I have ever stayed in. It was clean, it was easy to book, and super pet friendly which is hard to find. slightly remote but very Easy ride to the new river gorge national park. We had a GREAT time. We will definitely be back!

There are definitely some issues going on with this rental. The bathroom fills with a scent of raw sewage if you keep the door closed like we did to keep our dog out. You couldn’t even breathe in there with the window opened. I failed to read all of the reviews before I booked it and it seems like I’m not the first person who has had this problem. It is dog friendly, which is wonderful however it is about 15 feet from a road that is 55 miles an hour which makes things very loud with the thin walls of the building. It sounds like the cars are going to drive straight through the building all through the day and night. It is a cute place and pretty clean. We did have to rewash the dishes before we used them because they were not completely clean. The bed was comfortable. This place is convenient to Pipestream State Park and not far from new River Gorge national Park, which is why we were visiting. I don’t think I would stay here again unless they actually fix the septic/sewage issue because the smell was really bad. We actually considered leaving in the middle of the night, but it was too far to drive home so we just stayed until first light and then left.

Host was uncommicative. Sent three messages and got nothing. Finally got a hold of the cleaning person and got some help. House had major leakage when it rained. It was very clean.

This property is very close to the street and is VERY noisy. It is located next to one of the “main” roads and there is constant loud noise of cars and trucks. I specifically asked about this before booking and they said that noise would not be an issue. My main issue with this property is that they didn’t answer me accurately. On our first night, there was an issue with the septic tank, leaving the small house smelling unbearably bad. To their credit, we were given a full and immediate refund the next morning. The container home is very nicely decorated, has everything you need and is clean. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay and don’t mind a LOT of noise, this would be a good option for you.
