This cabin was clean, extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished, and felt like a home away from my home. Doreen was very pleasant to communicate about the cabin. We absolutely would stay here again!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

A great hidden cabin in the woods. We loved all the nature and setting on the deck enjoying the river view. Our hosts were awesome to work with. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a private secluded get away. We will definitely return next year. Also the hosts were so kind to leave great snacks. Thank you

We were really looking forward to our stay here and it exceeded our anticipations. Dorene is an excellent host - so kind, and she kept in communication with us, answering our questions and offering suggestions for things to do in the area.The home is simply wonderful. It is spacious, bright, airy, and spotlessly clean. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in on any of our trips. And it's so nice, each bedroom having its own bathroom!Then there's the deck, and the amazing view from the deck. You're up on top of the Wisconsin bluffs with a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River and Iowa on the other side. It feels like you are on the side of a mountain. You really don't need to go anywhere, just kick back and enjoy the view.But if you do want to go anywhere, this is one of the most beautiful parts of the Midwest to travel in. There are so many charming small towns in interesting things to see and do. This one's a keeper. We'll be back!

We had an excellent experience from check in through checkout. There is one thing you must know if considering staying here. There was a review suggesting a smaller car could have challenges getting to the house. Any vehicle can get to this house. Once you turn off of the state highway it is curvy but smooth. There are a few stretches with small peat gravel, but no big deal at all. Google Maps shows the last 1.4 miles being gravel. It’s not. The only real gravel you will encounter is the driveway and it is perfectly fine. Another thing is that if you plan on working a bit, the desk shown in the pictures has 2 computer monitors on it now. Just bring your docking station and you are all set. The kitchen is excellent. High end appliances and all of the cooking items, dishes, and glassware you will need. We were impressed with the quality of everything. This home has comfortable beds, a great deck, quality gas grill and propane fire pit. There is shade somewhere on the deck during the heat of the day. Just move your chair. If you are looking for a quiet getaway look no further. We would definitely stay here again and of course recommend it whole heartedly.

Great house in the hills of Wisconsin! Roughly 20-25 minutes north of Prairie du Chien off the river road. Very new and recent construction with a beautiful deck overlooking the timber and views of the Mississippi River. The house was in outstanding condition and host Kevin and Dorene were very welcoming and accommodating!The drive to the house does take a bit and is a windy road. We had a truck and did well with things. Smaller cars might struggle to reach it. Definitely worth of the drive to stay! The property was quiet and very peaceful. Great stargazing at night from the deck and used the little gas fireplace too. Great stay for the 4 of us and loved every minute of it!!
