Perfect for families and groups looking for comfort, consistency, and ocean proximity.

Every home at Nakoa offers the same number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the same sleeping capacity, and comparable modern kitchens and appliances, ensuring consistency while still giving each home its own personality. Just steps from the ocean, Nakoa Estates is ideal for families and groups seeking both space and comfort.

Notes:
* Located on the windward (east) shore of O‘ahu, just a short walk from the beach. Please note that the location pin shown online is approximate and not exact.

* For those traveling with young children, keep in mind the yard is not fenced and the ocean is nearby.

* Like many island residences near the ocean, the property is within earshot of traffic noise, especially if windows are open.

* We take pride in keeping the house clean and have regular pest control. That said, Hawaii’s tropical environment means you may occasionally see ants, geckos, cockroaches, or other small critters. Wild chickens and roosters also roam freely and may wander into the yard. Their early morning calls are part of the local character.

Great experience across the street from a fairly private beach and only 5 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center, a must see, and 20 minutes to Turtle Bay, 25 to Sharks cove and 30 to Waimea Valley. Home was great with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, great common area a kitchen for family time. Well accommodated.

Great location! Very clean inside, lots of garage space and parking for 2 vehicles in the driveway (could have also fit one in the garage if we wanted). It was definitely a fun trip!

Everything we wanted!

Beautiful home on the beach, had everything we could need and more, very large home lots of space, great a/c, host very responsive and accommodating. Will stay here again!

The house was amazing. Only part that I didn’t realize is that the upstairs and downstairs were not connected. The 7-11 next door was so convenient. The house was spacious and accommodating for our large group.

Walkable To Beach, As Advertised

Helped my grandparents, parents and Aunt and Uncle book this place as it was on my Grandpa’s bucket list to go to Hawaii and also see Pearl Harbor. It was walkable to the beach for my grandpa, just as they described. They couldn’t have had a better experience.

Quiet & Well Appointed

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Nakoa Estates. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the kitchen gadgets and pantry supplies. All 9 of us appreciated the ample air conditioning, newly replaced washer & dryer, and beach gear. We had one member of our group who has some paralysis on one side due to a stroke, but he was able to navigate the exterior stairs due to it having railings on both sides, and it was nice having a walk in shower option. We enjoyed our sunrise mornings and easy walks to the beach. The beach right outside the house was rocky, but just around the bend was a fabulous boogie boarding & swimming spot. This was our first time staying in North Shore, but we all agreed that we appreciated the slower pace, smaller crowds, and lush greenery.

Great spot, close to the beach. Shops across the road are handy. But the house is a bit tired, there were broken chairs and buckets of paint lying around, junk in the garage and it could have been cleaner, eg. pots and pans, appliances all needed to be washed properly. We asked for a clothes drying rack because there's nowhere to hang wet swimmers and towels but didn't get any help. Cheap and cheerful experience for a very high price.

We had 10 in our group and had 8 chairs and 4 place settings. No wine glasses, many ants. While the place has a great location and good beach access, it could use some improvement. The manager takes awhile to respond.

We loved our stay, thank you to our hosts!

Great location with a short stroll to the beach. Sandier parts are not far off. Our family enjoyed the convenience of being able to play in the water right at the house. My son found the perfect swim spot for our grandbaby toddlers to enjoy protection from waves. All in all it is a peaceful location that we loved.

Great location and home for our family!

House was in a great location and very relaxing. Lots of space for our family of 10 to sleep and rest. The balcony has breathtaking views as well as the front of the house. Close to the beach- can see and hear the ocean. Quick walk to the beach! Very clean and well stocked for all your vacation essentials. Beds were comfortable. Towels and mats for the beach were great!

Family-Friendly

Amazing location right by the beach! The AC units are a bit loud but overall a wonderful place. The caretaker very responsive and friendly. We liked the style and decor of our unit. It is an ideal setup for families with kids who can navigate bunk bed ladders. Our kids had a blast and keep asking when we will come back.

safe swim spots for kids

We were 8 - 4 adults and 4 kids and we had plenty of room. Our stay was so amazing my kids were asking if we could live in the house forever. The caretaker made us feel welcome and right at home. She was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The beach is beautiful and the water generally felt calm enough to be safe for our 5 year olds to play in the waves. Turtles came to nap right on the beach. It was magical!

Superb location!

We have stayed in many rentals over the years and this house is on our favorites list! With 10 people we had plenty of room. The AC was a blessing because September is surprisingly hot in Hawaii. The true highlight was being so close to the beach and easy access to local grocery stores. The poke at the Tamura's tasted fresh! We went there 3 times during our stay. Many thanks to our communicative host who made the entire trip go smoothly start to finish.

Awesome place to stay in Paradise

The place we stayed at is as close to paradise as you can get. Everything in the house is designed and setup to be as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The Main bedroom is very comfortable and has everything you can ask for. The combined living room, dining room and kitchen, give you an open plan area where everyone can spend during hours that you are in the house. Outside terrace is big and has great view of the ocean and beautiful park in front of it. You will enjoy it.

Might as well call this beachfront estate because it only took us like a minute to walk to the beach. Kokololio Beach Park was also a walkable distance and WOW it has a soft sandy shore that seems to go on forever! Seems like a local secret because we did not see a lot of tourists there. The house feels like a newer build or recent remodel. High ceilings ✔️ modern finishes ✔️, air conditioning ✔️. We were very pleased with the house for the price point. It was spacious enough for our group to spread out or gather together as desired. If we come back to Oahu, we will book again without hesitation.

We had great family time. The beach access in the picture is not accurate. The actual property photos give a more accurate description. Bring your own toiletries. Fortunately previous guests left some random supplies that we took advantage of. For the price of the rental shampoo, conditioner, bath soap should be provided. Longs Drugs/store is well stocked and across the street which we used a lot. Beach chairs should be provided. There were 2 camping type chairs which we did use but they are not great for the beach and there was only 2 chairs. There were 11 of us. There is a pantry and we did find some helpful supplies left by previous guests along with a cabinet that has spices. That was nice too. Having to buy every little thing while traveling can add up and can’t be taken along afterwards. We would definitely stay again. The house is very comfortable including the beds. Hosts responded quickly to all our questions and if we had any problems. Finding the home is tricky, especially at night. The host warns that Google Maps will probably give you wrong directions and they were right. Longs Drugs is the best landmark. If you plan to shop for food, Foodland is closed on Sundays. If we get back to the North Shore we would definitely stay again!
