Two perfect suites for two perfect couples!

This is a beautiful handcrafted house with two, separate romantic suites that have a king bed, jetted tub, glass shower, fireplace, sitting area and mini-kitchen. The suites are separated by a brand new kitchen and dining area! It is perfect for two couples or a family traveling together!

The space:

Two luxury romantic suites that are rented together for two couples or a family. Each suite has a king size bed, fireplace, shower, jet-spa tub, refrigerator, microwave and a private patio.

There is a hot tub in the back yard with a charcoal grill and a fire pit. ( We don't supply firewood, so bring some along).

RIGHT NOW we are in a BURN BAN! NO OUTSIDE FIRES until further notice.

Our televisions are smart tv's, so use your passcodes for signing in to all of your favorite tv apps.

The location is about 1.2 miles from Main Street and some of the wonderful Fredericksburg nightlife. The house 1/2 block from RR 965, the road to Enchanted Rock State park. The suites are located in a very safe, quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy!

Fredericksburg is a city of beauty and charm. Its founding includes a rich history of people making a good life in a new place with the help of friends and neighbors. Working together, they created a city where all could live up to their potential, participate in activities, and benefit from services to enhance the quality of their lives. The spirit of working together to create a beautiful, livable place is still alive today in Fredericksburg and that spirit is responsible for the ambiance of the city today.
For cyclists, it is an easy access to most of the major cycling road in the hill country!

We provide robes, hair dryers, iron and ironing board, coffee, tea, and creamer for all of our guests. ALL linens are laundered and sanitized for each new guest! Th beds are THE most comfortable KING beds!

Guest access

Guests have access to their private outdoor patio with an outdoor shower, table and chairs, and the 4 person hot tub and seating area in the backyard.

Interaction with guests

I do not interact with guests unless they need help with anything. I live about 10 minutes away from Cross Mountain Retreat.

Other things to note:
The entrance is a keyed entrance so that there are no keys to deal with.

I rent Cross Mountain Retreat for a two night minimum.

Great location, not far from Main Street. Perfect setup for couples retreat. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Hot tub was great. Would stay here again.

Just Perfect

Great location well kept property. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with privacy. The home was very clean with everything you need for a visit to the area. Host explained everything perfectly from start to finish. Will more than likely be contacting them again in the near future.

Perfect Floor plan for two couples

Every detail had been considered to make this VRBO a pleasant experience. The two bedrooms were separated with a kitchen in between which added extra privacy. The bedrooms were equipped with a fireplace, small fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. We loved our stay and all agreed that we would like to return again.

Anniversary Trip

We were celebrating our anniversary and this was perfect! The check in process was easy. The home is decorated beautifully and has so much charm especially in person. The host was so nice and very accommodating! We highly recommend staying here and plan to return!

AMAZING

The property consists of two individual suits with a small kitchen common area in between. The units were much larger than expected and very well furnished with microwaves, mini fridges, coffee, bathrobes, hot tub towels, shampoo, body wash and even a fireplace. The hosts thought of everything…even Christmas decorations.

Perfect getaway for a weekend of wine tours

The home is perfect for two couples looking to getaway for a weekend in Texas Hill Country. The suites were large, the beds comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice addition. We enjoyed making dinner in the kitchen, and appreciated the coffee machines in each suite. A suggestion for future use - have hot tub towels available specifically for the hot tub so guests don’t have to use the 4 bathroom towels allotted per bathroom for after the hot tub; extra soap and toilet paper in the residence would be useful along with an indoor broom/dustpan. But great place, and would recommend!

We really enjoyed our Christmas!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cross Mountain Retreat for Christmas with my mom and sister. The bedding is so comfortable and it’s so nice to have a gas fireplace in each bedroom along with comfortable seating where we could visit and play games.

Weekend get away

Very nice. Gave both parties privacy w each room having its own ensure. We gathered on the front porch for coffee or at the dining table to snack. It was perfect for us. Just wanted to relax. Didn't have time yo enjoy hot tub...one of these days....thank you!

Short get away with our dog

Nice house, clean, comfortable beds. Nice hot tub. Yard was not fenced all the way around. A bit far to walk into town. Very close walk to cross mountain and trail.

October Getaway

Cross Mountain Retreat was the perfect spot for 2 semi-retired couples to enjoy a few quiet days after Octoberfest. We've stayed there twice now, and will definitely do it again.

Wonderful Property - Pictures don’t do it justice

The layout of the house with the suites was absolutely ideal for our family. The separate living spaces and bathrooms were well equipped and the added touches of the coffee/k-cups and black make up towels were very thoughtful. The pictures online don’t do it justice - would definitely stay here again.

Daniel and I built Cross Mountain Retreat 12 years ago. We have enjoyed hosting all of our guests over the past 12 years! We love having the opportunity to provide our guests with a fun, romantic time to get away for a while.

Daniel is a general building contractor in Fredericksburg and I am a retired music professor from Texas Lutheran University.

We have three children, a wonderful daughter in law and two beautiful grandchildren.
