At the heart of historic Eastern Market, is a rowhouse that was on the Historic Restoration Home Tour in 2026 just waiting for you and your family! One of the few rowhouses that have been completely modernized and restored while still maintaining the old Federal charm, it will be comfortable and exactly what you are looking for as you tour the Nations Capitol. 8 blocks from The Capitol, and one stop on the metro from the National Mall and the Smithsonian museums. We also have a Trader Joe’s at Eastern Market for grocery shopping! Steps away from the Metro, Barracks Row shopping and eating, Nationals Stadium and the Capitol itself, this location cannot be beat! No car necessary when staying here as we are a 10 minute Uber ride from Reagan National Airport. Did we also mention we have a backyard complete with Solo Stove, Weber Grill and Outdoor Heater. So grab your groceries for the week down the street at the two grocery stores (Safeway and Trader Joe’s) and save some money while you are here. An alarm system will keep your luggage and souvenirs safe while out and about. Nat and Chantal described their property perfectly - and it was better than expected when we arrived. The location was ideal for touring the city (close to the metro and within walking distance of many places we wanted to see), comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-appointed. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a great place to stay in a city full of awesome things to see.

We stayed here with our four teenage grandchildren and their two parents. The host responded quickly to our requests. We loved that it is close to the US Capitol, the metro station, and Trader Joes. We received a parking pass for our car. We were enchanted with the historicity of the apartment.

This was the perfect home base for our family of six while we explored DC. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the historic character—it made our stay feel even more special. The host was easy to communicate with and always responded quickly. The neighborhood felt safe, and we were able to walk to the Capitol and many of the other sights. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Washington, DC.

The location was fantastic. Easy to get to the Metro, walk to the capital, or get some of the best espresso in the country. The owner was extremely responsive and easy to work with. He was able to share some excellent places to go and times of day to see things. The house has a history of its own and was really easy for all six of us to sleep.

The home was beautiful in and out, a real historic beauty. It sits on a cute street in the beautiful Capitol Hill neighborhood. Trader Joes and restaurants are just a couple of blocks away. The parking is streetside, but spots are relatively easy to come by. We walked to the Mall with no issues - it wasn't just around the corner, but easily walkable. Nat, the host, was quick to respond to my questions and was helpful when I goofed up the access steps. The steps were simple, I just failed to read the email. And when the day's done, the back porch was a great place to hang out. Tons of greenery and just a nice setting all around. I can't wait to come back to DC and stay in this home again! Seriously!

This was one of the most special properties we’ve stayed in. Such a gem! We loved the historical charm of the home and the location was perfect. We walked to several different coffee shops, bakeries and Trader Joe’s. We were walking distance to the Capital Building. This home is just lovely - we felt as though we were staying in a museum. Thank you for such a memorable and comfortable stay for our family of six.

We had an amazing stay here in DC. The location was absolutely perfect and made it easy to explore the city while still feeling comfortable and relaxed at the house. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully prepared, and the hosts clearly put effort into making our stay feel welcoming and special.The house itself added so much to the experience. The theater room in the basement was a huge hit with our family and made the trip even more fun. We also loved spending time in the backyard, which was peaceful and relaxing after long days exploring the city. The neighborhood felt safe, charming, and full of character.We truly loved our time here and plan to absolutely stay again.

This place is fantastic! The hosts are amazing! The home is beautiful. The location is great. 10 out of 10 for sure. The house may be over 150 years old, but it does not look it, and it has all the modern conveniences one would expect (and more). The house is oozing with charm and character that you will not find anywhere else. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had a wonderful stay. The hosts are amazing, super chill, and so very helpful. Probably the nicest hosts I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Next time we go to DC we will definitely be staying here again.

Kitchen was great for preparing all kinds of meals. Nice sleeping accommodations. Location was superb. Close to grocery stores, metro, and restaurants. Using Uber/Lyft or just plain walking was a breeze.

We had the very best time on our trip! This house far exceed our expectations and was truly one of the highlights of our trip as it was a treasure trove of history in and of itself. Perfect location and the hosts were so kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we ever come back! Great neighborhood with easy access to everything. Wonderful stay in DC. Firepit in the back was nice to hang out at. Kitchen has everything you need. The house is comfortably decorated and beautiful.

We had the loveliest time staying in your home! We were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect spot for base camp, winding down with family, and enjoying the beautiful DC area. Just loved the character of the home, well-appointed and modern, and also full of history and old charm. Home was exactly as described and the owners were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend staying here!!

great location

very roomy place for a major city- housed all 10 of us! Comfortable and nice! This is right in Eastern Market- a total hidden gem in the DC area, and easy access to the rest of the city! Great spot!

PERFECT!!!!

It was truly a delight to stay at this property!!! We stayed there for the week of our daughter's wedding and it could not have been more perfect! The location is fabulous, the house was very homey and wonderful for our family time together, and the hosts were incredibly gracious. The parking permit they provided made our stay extra convenient. The property is beautiful and functional. We utilized the indoor and outdoor space and both were delightful! We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!

Historic DC home

This is beautiful home! Large, comfortable rooms. Kitchen is awesome with lots of high end amenities. Kids loved the basement with the big TV. Perfect location to relax after a day in DC. The walk to the closest metro was .4 miles

Charming historic Capitol Hill home with lots of character and a great location. However, several things impacted our stay: allergy flare-ups due to past cat presence (not disclosed), a leaking air mattress, worn bedding, and only one parking pass for a multi-bedroom rental. Some appliance instructions would also help. With better transparency and small upgrades, this could be a great stay.
