Lanikai Ocean Front Duplex Bungalow. AMAZING Location. Private ocean steps.

We thoroughly enjoyed having Garett & his family as our guest, they were the best! They left our rental very clean too. We hope they’ll return again!

Michele and family were awesome guests. Of course, as with most of our guests, we rarely saw them because the duplex units are so well separated. So glad they liked our kitchen--we keep it equipped the way we like it, as we cook there ourselves sometimes when we don't have guests.

Thank you for staying with us again, and thank you for the valuable feedback--it is always appreciated ESPECIALLY when we don't get something exactly right. Most of our clients comment on how well-provisioned our kitchen is. But we'll certainly take your suggestions on less is better! We recently purchased a new knife set and new pots and we will be continuing to upgrade the kitchen as needed. As for the privacy and noise, this is the first negative comment we've had from any guest about this. We have a home internet business so we are on our computers most of the day and rarely see our guests. The duplex is set up to give our guests as much privacy as possible. There is a privacy fence in the yard and your own barbecue dining and lounging area as well as a very private covered side deck with more outdoor seating. We also now have self-checkin using a entry keypad. The only shared space on the property is the driveway to the street and guests do not have to pass by our side of the duplex when they're entering or leaving so that's quite private as well. We truly respect and understand our guests need for their ow space. We value that when we travel as well. Regarding outdoor lighting on the front deck area, we do have a high-end ambient string-light system there, with which one can change both the color and intensity of light over the entire outdoor barbecue area. The remote is in the dining room with instructions. We purposely do not have larger outdoor lights because they can negatively impact the seabirds (Shearwaters) that nest on the Mokulua Islands offshore. Bright lights can blink the birds and cause them to nose dive to the ground. The local community association recommends not having bright lights by the seashore. All of our steps have glow-in-the-dark tread strips for safety. Mahalo and Aloha, John & Roz
