Truly on the ocean

We had the most incredible stay at this property! The location is truly unmatched—practically sitting right on the ocean, with the sound of waves crashing against the lava stones as a constant, soothing backdrop. Waking up to the sound of the surf and enjoying our morning coffee while watching the waves was an experience we’ll never forget.The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful, oceanfront retreat where nature takes center stage, this is the place. We can't wait to come back

Respite in Kaimalino

Quiet and peaceful stay. Nice sitting outside having my.morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine, watching the fishing from shore. Was happy with my unit and surprised there was more than one. Should upgrade the hairdryer, has seen better days..Mahalo for sharing

Wonderful ocean breeze

We stayed while looking for a place for our kids to relocate to Oahu. The property was a perfect respite from the daily searches. The pool was fabulously refreshing. The host was very communicative and lovely to interact with. We would absolutely return again!

Magical Kailua

This beautiful little one bedroom apartment was magical. Right on Kailua Bay, the waves crashing right out side your window. The white sand beaches are not far away, and we spent time there every afternoon. The bathroom had all the latest in fixtures, and the small kitchen was sufficient for our needs - including a freezer with lots of ice. We loved being there in Kailua, and sleeping next to the waves was truly amazing.

Very nice accommodations. Had a really good time and landlord was excellent to work with

Ocean view was perfect . Landlord was very accommodating and pretty much every night we had a military air show .

The place was perfect

Very cozy and quant, very comfy for a small romantic getaway. Having the windows open n you get the breeze off the water and the sound of the waves crashing. It was perfect. Nicely updated without overdoing it. The Hosts also do a very nice job of making sure anything you could need is in the unit.

Very nice vacation

Beautiful views, very close to Kailua town. Spectacular sunrises each day. Very quiet. Parking is a plus for Hawaii! Extremely conscientious host making sure we have everything we need ! Hope to be back soon, someday. Aloha Mike and Lilia

Spectacular Ocean View

The view is so beautiful and the owners are just wonderful! Anytime we called with a question or need, they responded very quickly. Lucinda, made many inquiries on our behalf, from dinners reservations at our favorite restaurant to finding the best place to see dolphins swimming free in the ocean. We really enjoyed out stay.

Smooth and easy

Pretty house, friendly cat, cold pool (in January, so...) no stove only microwave should be in bold on listing. I loved walking the beach even if there's not much of it. Windward side of island gets more rain but there's plenty to see...(botanical gardens, SeaLife Park) gorgeous sunrises.

It’s nice but wouldn’t stay again

The place was nice. When I booked my stay, it indicated a ladder leading to an upper loft with twin bed. Well, that loft was locked off and not available. The beach was unusable in front of the unit BUT most disturbing was a maintenance man working in the space in the middle of the day. It was a nice place but I wouldn't stay again.

Great Location

We will start by saying the location of this property is great. We loved the view of the ocean. We enjoyed the sunrises and looking at the full moon a few of the nights. We booked this property based on the many positive reviews, unfortunately, we don't have a positive review. Others who rented said the property was clean. Yet, we didn't have the same experience. For instance, the dust is so thick on the ceiling fan in the bedroom, it fell off in clumps on the bed. As well as dust on the armoire doors and the blinds. The mats in the bathroom need to be cleaned. The carpet in the living space didn't look like it had been vacuumed, and the pull-out bed has a large soil stain on it. We also had ants in the room. We were looking forward to using the pool, unfortunately, that too was dirty. There was a large centipede in the pool, which was there for at least three days, so we stopped checking due to lack of maintenance, or signs of anyone present (no sign of property manager during out stay). After our poor experience, we reached out to the property manager via your website and asked if we could check out early so we could check into a hotel for our last few nights in a cleaner/better environment. We were advised no refund, so we decided to suck it up and stay, but spent as much time away from the loft as possible. We hope this is a fluke, as we have stayed in many VRBOs around the US & Central America without any issues, or false expectations. Sadly, we cannot recommend this property...

Swimming pool is awesome

When we arrived I made the mistake of taking a screen shot of the directions and I guess I cut the top part off with the exact address on it. I had to call because the house isn't very visable from the road and the roof was green not red. When I called and told the property owner of the street I was on which was the street where the property was located, she was kinda short and kept repeating the name and spelling of the street I had already told her I was on as if I was an idiot. Definitely not very welcoming to me. We finally arrived and decided to walk to the back of the residence to look at our ocean front view. There we met Mr. Coffey who promptly, in a matter fact manner, informed us the property we rented was back around the corner and up the stairs. Again not very welcoming. The ocean front view is just that a view. You can not swim at this beach. We did observe some people fishing nearby. My husband actually ran into the owner again the next day and made a comment about how nice the pool was and his response was, "ya, I know." The ocean front property is nice but not very big and there's no real stove or dishwasher. That's not that big of a deal though. I also didn't mind the recycling and numerous rules either except for after three days of my husband smoking outside at the table and chairs on our deck we were told he needed to go to the beach to smoke. We were able to do laundry on the property which was nice but we had to constantly bother the owners to open the garage for us when we needed to do any laundry and because they are the high energy efficient washer and dryer, they take forever. All communication with Mrs. Coffey via email was great.

Over priced.

It was listed as a house but it was the upstairs of the owners house. It was poorly ventilated and contained mould and dust. We rented it for 6 nights but could only stay for 3 as I have asthma. The owners have access to the property by internal doors locked from their side only which was unexpected. The owner is nice but wouldn't recommend.

Beautiful home

The view was amazing and it was a beautiful neighborhood and home. Only downside is we could hear people arguing through the walls.

Oceanside tranquillity

Beautiful location

First the great!: Beautiful, quiet location, residential, so not crawling with tourists. Easy to find. Not a far drive to a wonderful walking beach. The seawall was about 100 feet from back of house, so we had intimate views of the ocean, often very strong waves. Could not swim off this area. One day, we watched turtles for over 1 hour coming to surface about 60 yards out and then go back down to feed. Grocery and a few restaurants within 5 m, many others 12-15m out. Kitchen mostly served our needs (see below) Community golf course 15 minutes away (bring your own clubs-they rent them for $55!). Host on site. Lovely. (See below) Pool very nice and always available when we wanted to swim. Gliches: washer broke down while we were there. Fixed day before we left. That's life. Would have been easy to access. Though we had rain nightly, it was rarely during the day. Temps varied night and day by only 5-6 degrees, so always pleasant. However, the rainspout outside our patio was taken down to allow visitors to have a clear view of the ocean. Unfortunately, the rain came pouring unto our patio, soaking furniture, so we really couldn't enjoy sitting out much. The living room furniture is not comfortable to sit and relax after a long day of exploring. Kitchen did not have convection oven that was shown when we reviewed property. This did change our meal plans. The microwave had some convection properties, just more complicated. Stairs to unit steep and narrow.

Ocean View

Just what we needed! Don't let the size scare you away. We had plenty of space for the two of us. The view of the ocean was priceless. The homeowners were very helpful and we loved coming home to kitties in the drive every night. It felt like we were at home.

Amazing Vacation!

Perfect spot for a romantic Hawaii getaway. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. The pool was perfect for cooling off on hot days. Hosts were great! Would definitely stay again!

Our Favorite Place on Entire Trip!

Modern, private and stunningly beautiful right on the ocean. Short drive into Kailua. We loved the quiet. Great attention to detail. Very modern. Perfect size for 2. There was a loft with another bed that we did not use. Pool is shared with owner and other unit. We used it and enjoyed it. We rented this unit as our first stop to get into the Hawaii groove and it ended up being our favorite spot on the whole trip. No beach as others have said. There are great beaches in the area. Did the Pillbox hike! Check it out for sure. THANK YOU!
