This quiet and serene Cape Cod cedar shake cottage consists of two main rooms. The large bedroom has a king bed, with a sitting area, 43' flat screen TV, with wi-fi throughout, 1/2 bath with washer/dryer and walk-in closet. The French doors open to an outside sitting area with meadow views. Connected by a breezeway, the separate structure houses a large kitchen room with a dining and sitting area, full kitchen, bath with shower, large closets and French doors that open to a vine covered patio and BBQ area.

We were in town for a 50th SVHS Reunion. This was a lovely place and we enjoyed our stay! We had intended to spend a day playing tourist but decided to stay in and enjoy the peaceful location before heading out the next day. This will definitely be our go to place to stay. The chickens were a bonus! )

Gorgeous outdoor space and perfect for a couple

My husband and I spent a week on this wonderful property while visiting wine country. Terrific hosts and very comfortable space with a beautiful view.

Delightful Sonoma cottage

Perfect Sonoma couple getaway - great living spaces indoor and out. Very comfortable king size bed. Close to town and short drive to wineries and Jack London Park . Hosts friendly and informative. Would definitely stay here again!

Wine, relaxation, and a cozy fire

We had a great stay again. Just know that the bedroom and kitchen are separate but connected by a breezeway. For us, this is ideal, as I get up early to work, and my wife likes to wake up slowly with a cup of coffee, eventually. The magic is at night, when you get back and build a little fire in the chiminea, open a bottle of wine and watch the sun set.

Great place, in the heart of Sonoma. And the owner is the best.

The guest house is on great grounds. Walking distance from Sonoma. The owner knows so much about the area and it’s a super nice guy.

Perfect cottage for two

We loved the cottage, furnishings, landscaping, & location near the square & Whole Foods. The owners were friendly & helpful, the bed was comfy, & the patio was wonderful to enjoy in the mornings & evenings. We had a fun and relaxing week!

Great convenient place

The place was great, loved the large private back yard with a big patio. Many very nice wineries close by... minimal driving. We brought back bottles of great wine and cooked in the kitchen, used the grill and relaxed on the patio. The owners gave us great advice. Would definitely stay again.

A perfect Sonoma hideaway

My wife and I spent three nights in Sonoma at this detached cottage. The place was very private and quiet in a nice neighborhood on the outskirts. Sleeping was very comfortable, we cooked breakfast before the adventures of the day. Relaxing patio. Easy drive to nearby wine country spots including Healdsberg, Napa and Yountville. Owners were warm and gave great recommendations.

Peaceful Location

This back house was perfect! The location is about 1.5 miles to Sonoma Square. We enjoyed wine tasting and restaurants in town and would retire to this peaceful location in the evenings. There is a market two minutes drive right around the corner. The bed is super comfy! We really enjoyed sipping wine on the private patio. Thanks for a great stay.

location / close to the things we enjoy

Was as shown and the setting is beautiful. Biggest thing I would ad is a TV in the kitchen area. I like to watch TV when cooking. We enjoyed the grounds and neighborhood when walking our dog Jack.

Peaceful Sonoma Getaway

We enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Very comfortable king bed and sitting area for relaxing. The well-maintained outdoor area is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen has everything you need should you want to cook or grill out instead of walking/driving to the square for a bite. Jim and Diana were welcoming and friendly. All in all it was a lovely trip.

Sonoma Getaway

First time visit to Sonoma area for both me and my friend. We were thrilled to find this great place to stay, a gem of a hidden cottage behind the main house. Jim (and his smiley grand-daughter) gave us a friendly welcome and some tips for walking trail into town and where to find a coffeeshop. This clean, comfortable and tranquil setting is so much closer to town than we expected, and the jasmine on the breezeway completed an idyllic stay. I would love to come again!

Cant wait to come back!!!!

This property is fab. Very comfortable, charming and clean. Jim and Diane are great hosts. This place is the best of both worlds, fairly close to the square (1.5 miles) yet rural with chickens and other farm animals out back on adjoining property. We plan to come back in summer in order to utilize the outdoor space as well as walking to the square. Loved it.

Hard to Beat!

Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful grounds, convenient to the Plaza and other Sonoma destinations. Traversing the breezeway between the living area and bedroom is a bit annoying when the weather is bad, especially since the master bathroom is located in the living area instead of adjacent to the bedroom. But that's the only thing we can find to complain about, and when we return to Sonoma, this will be the first place we check for availability.

Charming Sonoma Bungalow

Charming mother-in-law/bungalow unit on the edge of Sonoma. Perfect location for wine tasting throughout the Valley. Once you get used to the small separation between the kitchen/shower and the bedroom, you can kick back and enjoy. The bed is comfy and you have all that you need to relax during your stay. There is a ton a privacy from the main house and you will love the sunsets on your back patio. The country feel is really enhanced by the small chicken coop at the back edge of the property. Don't worry about noise though. Spoke with the owners on a couple of occasions and they were incredibly nice. Great communication also.

Good Location

Great location. Property owner is on site and is a great guy. Be aware it is 2 separate buildings. Comfortable bed. Chicken coop in the backyard…. Added entertainment

Wonderful getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and relaxing property. The cottage had everything that we needed. We drank our coffee while watching the deer in the backyard and walked downtown almost every day via the nearby bike path. Sonoma is a beautiful place and we took advantage of this property’s location to visit many of the highlights of the Sonoma and Napa Valleys including wineries, fine dining, hiking and state forests..

Diana and Jim are both retired after long and successful careers in the technology arena. Diana grew up in Missouri and is a graduate of Drury University. Jim grew up in upstate New York and is a graduate of Syracuse University. They have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years.

We joyfully lived in Casa de Luna for a year, while our new home was being built. This unique and coveted location is only a 15-minute walk, 5-minute bike ride and 1/2-mile drive to downtown Sonoma Square. It is quiet, peaceful and has everything you need to live for a month or a lifetime.
Behind the cottage, there are mountain and meadow views, surrounded by flower gardens, olive and fruit trees, starry skies and full moons. A serene country setting, for both friends and family, for an ideal getaway.

The exclusive cottage offers designer style living in 840 square feet, with field and mountain views from a beautiful patio in the rear. Casa de Luna cottage consists of two major buildings, connected by a breezeway. The cottage is located in the rear of our property with complete privacy and security. Parking is next to the cottage. With only 1/2 mile or 15-minute walk, the cottage is next to the bike path for easy access to restaurants, wineries and the Town Square.
It is also an easy driving distance to some of the most scenic areas of the country...San Francisco (45 minutes), the North coast of Mendocino (one hour), Lake Tahoe (3 hours) and Yosemite (3 hours).
