It was a great spot, we'll have to visit again when it's not raining. The ocean across the street was very calming.

Very clean and newly remodeled space. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We loved the pillows so much we ordered some for our home. Excellent and prompt communication with the property manager. We couldn’t tell from the listing that there was no indoor living space but thankfully the weather was great while we were there so we spent most of our spare time in the outdoor space. The location can’t be beat. It is across the street from the beach and is within walking distance of everything in Carlsbad Village.

Clean, modern rental in great location. Very clean on arrival; beds were large and comfortable with supportive mattresses, A/C was quiet and effective.Stay was overshadowed by a number of issues. Haustays market themselves as locally based and responsive, but this was not our experience. Calls were to an impersonal call centre, email responses were slow, and issues were not dealt with effectively. Faulty electric blinds reported on arrival remained unfixed throughout our 10 day visit.More significantly, there in an ongoing hot water issue, e.g. hot water is available but is unreliable. En-suite shower runs cold after 2 mins. Raised daily during stay and repeatedly told the issue was resolved, despite continuing to experience it daily.Property is located directly opposite the beach but across a busy four-lane road. The road noise is noticeable when outside, although it did not significantly affect sleep. Property sits below road level so view is passing vehicles not ocean, and you need to cross the road to enjoy the views.Noise from the upstairs unit is significant. Sound insulation between the properties is poor, and can clearly hear conversations, footsteps and furniture. None of the guests above were noisy, but normal day-to-day activity was audible and occasionally disturbed sleep.The kitchen is ok but had no kettle. Dishwasher is tiny and requires multiple loads. Apart from the kitchen’s high-top dining table, there is nowhere inside to relax and watch television.

Well located and nice accommodations with the corn hole, ping pong, fire pit. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great. AC was great. We were a little put off by only living room seating was outside and tv was in the kitchen. If the tv could swivel to outdoor viewing it could help with night time wind down. Otherwise a beautiful place.
