Sanderling - 2 bedroom / 2 bath

As documented in VRBO, we offered Sherry a 100% refund immediately after booking when her complaints started, on her arrival day and the day after arrival. Before arrival, Sherry demanded an outdoor dining table that she mentioned she did not see in our photos. She dragged our indoor dining table outside, and when we asked her to keep indoor furniture inside, she accused us of spying on her. Sherry also complained to VRBO that we had intentionally placed a family with an autistic child in the unit above her. The family let us know that someone in Sherry’s group had yelled at them about the autistic child’s behavior. After multiple refund offers, Sherry chose to stay for 5 nights, enjoying Sanderling and its patio with its gorgeous ocean views and even entertaining friends. She then contacted VRBO asking to cancel the remaining 3 nights of her reservation. We immediately offered to refund the final 3 nights, but that was not enough for Sherry. VRBO asked us to refund an additional night as a gesture of goodwill – we did. We have many great reviews and are Premier Hosts on VRBO, but unfortunately it did not seem we could do anything to make Sherry’s stay more enjoyable for her.
