While Townsend is only a short drive from bustling Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, you’ll find delightful activities without ever leaving town. Visit the Tuckaleechee Caverns or the Smoky Mountain Heritage Museum, or spend a day hiking and fishing in the gorgeous expanse of Great Smoky Mountains National Park (five miles east).
