Very enjoyable visit.

Clean, well furnished, beautiful view of the ocean and the "Three Arches," and quiet, relaxing location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic view of ocean and rocks!

We came for a family reunion and the three apartment set up worked out great. Everyone loved the view from the house and the various balconies. We would happily stay again in the future!

Scenery

Beautiful views of the Oregon coast. Great natural experiences, low tide adventures are a must! Close to great hiking trails. Peace and tranquility!!

The house was very comfortable, and the view was gorgeous. It would have been nice if the master suite was available.

Wonderful Family Reunion site!

Thank you for making this place so perfect for multiple families. It gave everyone the ability to be in their own space as well as ample space to be together. Perfectly located just a short walk to the beach (even for little ones)! We will definitely return!

Great for extended family. Great ocean view.

Excellent views of ocean and arch rocks and a spacious, open common area in the main unit for all of us to gather for meals and gaming. Separate units upstairs provided a space to get away when needed. Less than 10 minutes walk down hill to beach.

Really nice place and location. Great views and plenty to keep busy on the one bad weather day. Perfect pet and child friendly place. Minor issues were promptly addressed and very timely. Only noted improvement would be to replace grills and clean the draws and cabinets in the kitchens a bit better. Neither were show stoppers for the large group. Fun was had by everyone.

This home was way more than we expected or hoped for. It was a beautiful, well-supplied, excellent place for our 5 families and 5 dogs to come for a family reunion. The views were astounding, and one of our members was a rock hound who happily spent most of his time hunting for rocks and checking out tide pools! Having 5 balconies and all the bedrooms divided between 3 living areas gave everyone plenty of private spaces. The hot tub was wonderful as well! The only negative was all the steps to get to the bottom parking area and to the actual beach proper, but that was not the problem with the house- it just gave us more exercise than we were used to :)

Well siuted for large family vacation

Berni's Castle suited our family reunion very well. We rented all 3 apartments so there was space when some people wanted a little more privacy, and plenty of space in the main apartment for all 16 of us, including 2 babies. Berni's Castle has both a 'cottage by the sea' feel, and an up-scale living space once you are inside. The view is glorious. Oceanside is a small out of the way place, but yet close enough to shopping, parks, churches and other amenities.

Family Reunion on the coast

The property was great. We had 15 or so at the coast all coming in from different parts of the country. Everyone loved it. It was great to be able to get everyone together for a big crab feed (we went crabbing near-by and almost limited out), but then everyone could retire to their own space. Great layout for a big group. Outstanding views! We'll be back!

Beautiful view, beautiful place!

Loved our stay! A little farther from the beach than anticipated, about a 5min walk downhill to get there, 10ish min uphill to get back. But the height and short distance make for spectacular beach views. 3 units great for multiple families (especially when trying to social distance). Property manager a little slow to answer questions before check-in, but super quick to respond to minor issues while we were there (battery for smoke alarm, etc) Would definitely recommend!

Great place to have family

Awesome 3 unit home. Close to the beach and had plenty of space for 16 of us. Nice to have units to separate the families into when it was night. Great view of the beach. Close enough to walk down to the beach. Didn't have any contact with the owners but was still very easy to access on check-in. Main unit had everything to cook meals, games, and seating to host everyone in. One of the units did have a little bit of a mold issue in the bathroom. Otherwise everything was great!

Oceanside

The property location was terrific, the house was just so-so, bordering on not OK. Lots of condition issues, including windows, dishwasher, bathroom fixtures that were broken. We paid a premium price for a sub-par accommodation. We’ll come back to Oceanside but won’t be renting this home again.

Will stay again

Great view from the ocean and coastline. Sadly, couldn't enjoy outdoor decks due to weather, but would be awesome on the right day. Good location - beach walkable (but uphill on way back), light house, and good hikes close by. Accommodations were good in all 3 units. Kitchen was good and held up to making meals for 11ppl 3x a day. A few notes: you have to go outside with no cover to walk between units. Made it a bit wet and messy with kids during storms. / If you or someone has mobility issues, the main unit is down a staircase which does get wet.

Memorial for our son

We loved the location and accommodation. Fit our family well while we were there for difficult circumstances. Entry into one of units was not working & since most of us didn’t even have cell service made it difficult to contact. Finally my husband’s phone worked. 2 of the units have ant problems and using taro is not taking care of it, need professional assistance. Bedding should be updated. The few things that weren’t the best circumstances did not take away from enjoying this property immensely. Well maybe the ant situation haha, I absolutely hate them 😁

I have to write an honest and legitimate review of this property. First, the view is incredible but this is not a "castle" and our positive experience ends there. My family has property for over 40 years at Oceanside and we were all gathering for my mother's celebration of life over the Memorial Day weekend. In summary:- Listing is inaccurate/deceiving; 3 distinct units with none connected. You have to go outside to access other units. Family members with mobility issues should not stay here.- Check-in: missing keys, broken automatic locks; the call center wasn't helpful. Impossible to reach the owner. - Shopworn amenities/furniture; No operational BBQs (3 of 3 were rusted junk). Memorial Day weekend with amazing weather, we couldn't BBQ as planned for all our meals.- Weeds on steps, broken junk, worn out elements (2 of 3 dishwashers didn't work, stove fan didn't work setting off the smoke detectors, doors broken/janky, window shades janky, etc.- Issue Help: I could only get an east coast call center to try to help : owner and property manager AWOL; Casago/Vacasa/Roofstock is a "propfin" company middleman with management layers and operational challenges.When several family members couldn't join we could have cancelled one unit, if we knew they were units! This is not a "castle", the management company is ineffective (can't seem to address my concerns on a partial, meaningful refund), and I've escalated to VRBO and the Tillamook County Department of Licensing.

Family Memorial

The only problem we had was getting into the units. The codes that were given us were not usable and without having a savy family member engineer we would not been able to access any of the units.. We did call and we got someone to get us into the main unit and explained to us that the codes were not correct. But except for that we had a marvelous time and each unit was well equipped and comfortable.
