Comfy, cute place to stay! Walk to the jetty was easy and it was wonderful to soak in the hot tub (clean, hot, and well maintained!) after getting cold from the ocean winds.

The property listing is an accurate description. The cottage was cozy and clean, the furniture was comfy and the view was pretty. Easy walk to the beach and a short drive to town. We had a little issues unlocking the door, the host was quick to respond and helped us get in right away. They also texted to make sure there were no other issues. I really appreciated how helpful they were with everything.

Strong odor the whole stay. Old house mixed with something expired, maybe?? It was unpleasant. Hot tub was fabulous and the sheets were soft.

Cute house on Tillamook Bay

Cozy comfortable house on the bay close to ocean beaches. Hot tub in a private back yard is a plus!

This little house literally is within walking distance of one of the best birding reserves on the Oregon coast.

We did not receive the access code and needed to request it. We were unable to gain access with the code. Got the key from the lock box after several attempts we were finally able to go into the house. Upon entering the house there was a strong fish odor. After opening windows it got better. The other issue was not enough toilet paper. A partial roll and one extra roll. There were 3 women and 1 man staying for 2 1/2 days.

Although we notified you before arrival that the electronic lock was not working and provided lockbox instructions, we regret that accessing the home still took several attempts. We’re also sorry to hear about the fish odor and the shortage of toilet paper. Clean and welcoming home!

House was super clean, and inviting! Beach and convienence store are very close walking distance to the house, and hot tub was great! Kitchen had everything we needed to be able to make dinner at the house.

The home had a very strange smell to it. We couldn't pin it down, but we used some air freshener and that seemed to cut it down a bit. The hot tub also needs a deep clean and water replaced. Incredible location though. Close to everything great! Overall, it was a good stay.

June 2025 Coastal Craftsman

We spent two nights at the Coastal Craftsman. It was clean, charming, cute and had everything we needed. We didn't spend much time here because we were sight seeing. The location was perfect as it was easy to get to the beach and state parks. We were hoping to use the hot-tub, but could not figure out how to get it to work.

Oregon coast Get Away

This house was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking meals. Also, there is a small grocery store within walking distance. The ocean is a short walk away. We only slept downstairs and that bed was fine. It would be nice to have more hooks or drying racks for damp clothing or towels.

Cute cottage with hot tub

We enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was wonderful, this place suited our needs, The only negative I would put is the steps going out the back of the house are very rickety and feel like they could break and somebody might get hurt, other than that everything was clean and was great. One other thing this place only has a peekaboo view of the bay at one window

This was the PERFECT setup (with some important downsides) for my business planning week away from home. The jets in the hot tub work, the kitchen had almost everything we needed to cook meals, and the location was so quiet! Some downsides: the upper level was musty and didn't get used, the fire pit in the listing is not on site. Above all else, it was near impossible to communicate with the property Management company (obvious use of an AI agent rather than a human responding, some messages were never answered, hours between responses, difficulty extending the rental which caused a miscommunication with the cleaning team and ultimately drove us away from staying the addition nights we hoped to.)I will be sure to review coastal listings for casago and avoid their properties in the future.

It was a wonderful place to stay. Our only complaint is that we were mislead by the ad - which said to strip beds and leave all linens against the washer. However, upon arrival we found that although there was a washer and dryer, it was locked away with the owners' storage unit. Had to find a laundromat which took way too much of our vacation time and it was costly. The rest of the house was fine - plenty roomy for the 4 of us and the kitchen table allowed us to play card games and enjoy visiting and catching up with our cousins. We also loved riding the train right past our own place - and we also enjoyed waving at those waving at us from the train.

Mixed experience

The photo shopped VRBO listing is misleading. The home is smaller than advertised and the water view is only visible from the street. The master shower is very small and confining. The home is well stocked with linens and kitchen ware. Overall a 6 out of 10

Accurate description

We felt the pictures and description were accurate. Bed was comfy and everything very clean. The bay is easily seen out a medium size window. It is not bay front. It is the 3rd home away from bay. Would be so nice if it had a washer/dryer for guests to use but they do not list that in amenities so it is what it is. Good value on a well kept home. Kitchen faucet has a little side spray that needs to be fixed. Would be an easy fix. We would recommend if you are looking for a well kept and stocked house for a good price.

Great location. A few things: they definitely need blackout blinds or just updated blinds. A washer dryer would be amazing and for the price of this place that amenity seems necessary. We also have twin toddlers and were told we couldn’t check in until 5pm, one hour late and we’re only promised a 50 refund. Very disappointing. Not worth it for the price.
