A very comfortable stay - bed and couch were both in good shape and space was clean although has a stale smell but i got nose blind to it quickly. The yard however is far from an oasis which is why I gave three stars for the property description. A convenient side yard would be a more appropriate description. Communication with the host was excellent. I was content with the price I paid for it in May but when I looked at it in July it was about 200 more for a weekend stay and I feel that is too high for this space. It is very conveniently located in downtown Bridgewater with decent restaurants and a nice river walk a block away. Although it is pet friendly, pets are not allowed on the furniture but a 40 cleaning fee is added on regardless.

This property did not live up to its expectation. The unit was dirty and required extensive cleaning. The unit smelled of cigarette smoke upon entering. The recycling bin in the kitchen was full upon arrival. The sheets had stains on them and the bedsheet was yellow on the underside. The host did offer to send someone to clean our concerns and offer a change of bedding; but that does not really ease the mind given all the cleaning and everything else that we had to address. The unit should have been cleaned before we arrived in entirety. We could also not figure out how to access to unit without using the stairs as everywhere else was blocked with ladders or wood; however it was mentioned in the listing that there was access that did not require the short stairs down. The pictures were picturesque and the area is around is beautiful; but the state of this unit caused us to leave within the hour of checking in and booking another accommodation. We also found out through this experience via vrbo that the host has full authority in authorizing a refund even in these situations; since they offered to change the sheets and come clean the unit for us... So we ended up incurring financial losses with this booking. This was the unfortunate low point of our visit; in a space that inevitably has the potential to be a great destination to stay at and is in a great location.

This property had a very cottage type feel. It was within walking distance of food, shopping and Sights.
