We thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at The Getaway. It was super clean, well-appointed, easily walkable to downtown, quiet and the owners were very nice and great communicators. The photos shown on VRBO are an accurate representation. Also having a washer and dryer was a big bonus to us.

Pam was an excellent host. The property was immaculate, and her husband, Dave, greeted us on arrival. The home is walkable to the Main Street filled with many shops and a few restaurants. Ours was a very enjoyable stay. Thanks to both of you!

Absolutely everything was thought of. This is one of the prettiest places we’re ever had the privilege of staying. It was perfectly laid out and designed, gorgeous decorating, every amenity, and every comfort. We could only stay one night, but I’d be back here for the long term if I could! And the hosts were friendly and responsive, came to greet us personally, and made check-in and check out easy. Thanks so much for letting g us stay in this little slice of heaven.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Clean, cozy, and comfortable, with all the benefits of home - including a well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer for laundry. Located just a few minutes walk from the lovely Mahone Bay Main Street, with convenient access to groceries, shopping and restaurants. Pam and David were so helpful and responsive to questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great little place to stay in a quiet little town

We stayed here for 2 nights on our first trip to the maritimes. We were very happy with our stay here in a quaint little historic town, very close to the very famous Lunenburg as well

Cozy little place with everything you'll need, one of a block of three units. Perfectly clean and so nicely decorated. A problem with a (brand new!) air conditioner one evening gave Pam and David a chance to show how responsive they are: instead of putting it off till the next day, they went out and bought a.new one and showed up within an hour to install it! Can't beat that!

Great stay

My husband and I stayed here for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon and it was great! Lovely location, very private and a nice little walk from town. We will absolutely come here again!
