The property is beautifully restored as seen in the photos, a lovely place to be in the heart of Cajun country. Emmaline is a delightful hostess, greeted us with sandwiches and treats, shared many stories about Cajun country. We will go back next visit to South Louisiana!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay! Stayed for 3 nights with my three sisters and brother! A much needed get together! We relaxed and enjoyed each other in this beautiful and peaceful home Can’t say enough about our host, Ms Emmaline! She went above and beyond with delicious chicken salad sandwiches , chips delicious chocolate cake drinks and more! We will be back soon!!!

My doors are open wide to meet such a lovely people that kept the house so clean and just loved being a part of Cajun Heritage. Top notch hospitality!

Perfect for my family. From the sandwiches, cake, and snacks left by the hostess to the tranquil yard…we enjoyed every minute. Would surely love to visit again.

A great,peaceful,and lovely place to stay.

This place is lovely and very clean. The antiques are beatiful. The owner is the perfect southern hostess and makes you feel so welcome. I will certainly look forward to returning.

It is so rewarding to hear that you truly enjoyed coming to Cajun Country, and perhaps you will return to sit on those cypress rocking chairs and swing. When I drove up to meet both of you, it as though you were at home enjoying the country side with sugarcane fields, pecan trees, and my favorite, the live oak trees. It was truly my pleasure to have you come to "La Petite Voie de St. Therese," and to enjoy eating at Jaclyn's, with Creole music at Buck & Johnnie's on Saturday morning, and a Cajun Jam Session at Joie de Vivre. Amazing place and stay in every way

We stayed 4 nights. I had great memories of the area while at Ft Polk in the 1964 - 1966 time and wanted to see it again. That part of Louisiana was my favorite and still is. And we picked an amazing place to spend 4 days. And a great host.We highly recommend.

Great welcome, clean and cozy

We have had a great time in Emmaline's Cajun house. So many lovely details! And we were received arms wide open - with boudin, sandwiches and even a cake! Un grand MERCI!!

"Valentine Day and Mardi Gras" are special days in Louisiana; yet, Pat and Spencer are a very special "couple" that visited my Cajun Country at "La Petite Voie de St. Therese." They were invited for a Crawfish dinner and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Pat couldn't believe that Cajuns love people so much that we spread our love to be hospitable, friendly, kind, and generous. Hopefully our paths will meet again because I am so grateful of there warm and generous hearts. Take care of yourselves, and I know that we will continue to be long-lasting friends.

A private retreat

A lovely, spacious and quiet home. There was lots of room to be comfortable in and big porches to relax on. Ms Emmaline is a gracious hostess who makes wonderful cakes. If you are searching for a place to get away from it all, this fills the bill.

Great place to unwind

We are originally from Parks, LA. We decided to try out having our own space while visiting family. This place offered a place for us to allow our toddler to take naps and have place to play/run in between visiting family and friends. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding in every way!

My family was attending a four day Festival in Lafayette. This home was perfect for us to get away from city crowds, yet close enough to make for an easy drive. The property was beautiful, charming, and relaxing. The host was very responsive throughout our stay, and had even left us cake and sandwiches. This so far has been my favorite rental property, and I travel quite a bit, so that says a lot!

It was wonderful to meet Kelly and her beautiful family. I am sorry we didn't have time to visit and hopefully the family will come back. Wonderful place to stay

This is a wonderful place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful, gracious and very comfortable for our group of five. The house is a vision of the past, like stepping back into old Louisiana, with beautiful antiques, a wrap around porch, lovely roses, well kept gardens and sugar cane fields nearby. Emmaline, the owner and hostess is a delight, very accomodating, a very good cook, and alot of fun to talk to. Thank you, Emmaline, for a wonderful stay. We will be back!!!

TRULY, it was my pleasure to have Keitha and John stay at "La Petite Voie," and they were so interesting, kind, and friendly. I just did not converse with them enough, so hopefully they will come back to Cajun Country. I know I will prepare another Carrot Cake. I was amazed to see their beautiful home in Santa Fe surrounded by flowers of all kinds. GOD BLESS!

Loved the wrap-around porch!!

Loved the wrap-around porch!! Tea on that porch drunk from an actual teacup was an experience I shall remember for some time. Delightful! The dirt road between cane fields was good for jogging and the property is near Lake Martin. Meeting Emmaline was very much a highlight--gracious host, very accommodating.

Great weekend get away... or longer.

This place was great... first of all, I have stayed in several B&B and never stayed in one this clean........The house was very interesting, with lots of interesting pieces(antiques), for the time period. If you love the outdoors and are into nature, this is the place for you. Emma, was delightful, the little town was quaint with great food, swamp tours and a fine place to do NOTHING on the patio, porch. Had a wonderful time with 3 girls who grew up together, but great place to take family for some family time... thank you Emma.

Country Heaven

We had a gorgeous and peaceful stay at Miss Emma’s home ❤️ she is a wonderful host and a lovely lady. She treated us like family. Her home was so beautiful and quiet and we loved sitting on the porch swing every night. What a step back in time! And the beautiful, old oak trees in the yard! Come stay with Miss Emma!❤️

An Excellent Getaway!

Had a wonderful girl's getaway at this house that is so full of history and culture. We made our own family memories, enjoyed the local seafood and found our ancestor's names on the Acadian Memorial wall. Have NEVER had such a sweet, accommodating hostess in any of our travels. If you are tired of "cookie cutter" impersonal hotels, try La Petite Voie de St. Therese for a rare home-away-from-home experience. Other VRBO facilities should take lessons from Ms. Emmaline!

Cajun Country Jewel

This is an authentic Cajun home with a rich and personal history that features traditional details all lovingly maintained. The setting in the countryside just outside town is peaceful and convenient to both shopping and local site seeing. The owner and host is most gracious, generous, and kind. CWe will never forget the special time we spent at “La Petite Voie de St. Therese”.

Cajun Hospitality at "La Petite Voie de St. Therese" is my specialty and when you arrive there will be a cake (gateau), chicken salad sandwiches (salad au poulet), and drinks. It was my pleasure and such joy to have Karen and Gery for a Crawfish (a popular southern dish) Dinner. Again, thank you for coming to my Cajun Country. Ms Emmaline is the best ! Lovely home

We spent four wonderful days in Ms Emmaline’s lovely home . My grandchildren loved playing in the yard . So peaceful sitting on the porch. Ms Emmaline had a delicious chocolate cake and chicken salad sandwiches waiting on us . We enjoyed meeting Ms Emmaline. We hope we can come back .

Cajun Country Home

We had a wonderful stay. Emmaline, Charlie and Michael were excellent hosts. They were always available for any questions about the property. They had a wealth of knowledge about the area and the state of Louisiana. The country setting was great. Yet it was close to town for groceries, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. They truly made us feel welcome and at home. MERCI BEAUCOUP!

I thank the Lord for sending such beautiful people like Nellie Mae and David. I enjoyed fixing a Cajun dish of Crawfish Etouffee, and we were treated to Shepperd's Pie. We played and old fashioned Cajun card game of Bourrée, and they taught us how to play Domino's. We had so much fun together! Truly we were blessed to have them share a wonderful time here in our Cajun Country.

Book NOW! It’s amazing 😁

Unfortunately our stay was not a vacation, but for the passing of my mom. This house spoke to me the moment I saw photos and I HAD to stay here. It ends up being my grandmother’s 1st cousin and his lovely wife that own the home…so amazing how God put us exactly where we needed to be. The house and yard are beautiful and peaceful. We also enjoyed the fresh cake and macaroni casserole that was for us! A true gem of a home and the owners.

How wonderful that the Holy Spirit planned Jeni to stay at "La Petite Voie de St. Therese.". We would not have known that Jeni and her beautiful mother, Elaine, is related to my husband, Charlie. Girls Trip

Went on a girls trip and so enjoyed our weekend at this lovely cottage. There were four of us and we enjoyed sitting in the parlor or on the patio catching up and telling stories from our time growing up together. Emma was an excellent host furnishing us with chicken salad sandwiches and chocolate cake. She also had cereal, milk and so many other things for us to enjoy. Her cottage is lovely. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Real Cajun hospitality

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cajun country. We had an extended stay and were able to watch spring come into the neighborhood with the flowering of the many azalea and magnolia bushes, ornamental pear trees and roses. Our host, Emmaline, had some surprise welcome gifts in the fridge for us and greeted us soon after we arrived. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed and decorated for Mardi Gras! Emmaline was a truly gracious and thoughtful host and went above and beyond what we expected with pointers on things to experience in the area to really get a feel for this most unique culture. Highly recommend!

My son, Michael, Charlie, and I really enjoyed having Lori and Stephen as guests for almost two months. They were perfect guest!! I know they had a "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler - Let the Good Times Roll" on every given Saturday morning at Buck & Johnnies. It was my pleasure to have a meal of Chicken Gumbo and Crawfish Etouffee' for my new friends. Merci beacoup for coming to Cajun Country!!

Family Celebration

The property was just as it was advertised. Beautiful home, full of antiques and well placed decorative pieces. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The hostess was a delight to meet and we felt as though we had made a new friend. She welcomed us with Cajun hospitality treating us to homemade chicken salad sandwiches and carrot cake. The fridge was stocked with cold drinks and water . I have stayed at many other vacation homes ,but this was the first time I felt so welcomed by the host. I recommend this place .The area around this home is a great place to explore the outdoors and to learn more about Louisiana history.
