Great clean and comfortable place to stay in Charleston. Close to everything and everywhere we went all weekend. Easy to get around the city and easy to the airport as well. Great nail place nearby, close to a lot of shopping, a nice walk to the Citadel and close to lots of diff restaurants. Would definitely stay there again!

Great rental. Perfect for a family of 4 or a group of 4-6 friends. Close to King Street district. Wonderful stay.

The house is in a great location for walking. The inside was beautiful, super comfy bed, lots of space. Only downside was the construction but overall would stay here again!

The property was exactly as described and convenient for walking. The property owner was very responsive. The only downside is that the guests downstairs were very disrespectful knowing that other guests were staying in the same location. If you have children I do not recommend this location with the bar right on the corner as it can be very loud.

Could use more toilet paper, trash bags, some throw blankets in the living room, trash cans in bedrooms and living room, directions to find laundry on site, a warning about how narrow the stairs are and that construction will wake you up every day except Sunday. Host was very responsive and great!Nice location, easy to get an Uber or walk to areas, really liked it. Just needs some more finishing touches.

We enjoyed staying at this historic home since it has been beautifully renovated. It was very spacious and comfortable. There are, however, very steep, narrow and uneven stairs up to the second floor apartment which make it inaccessible for anyone with mobility limitations. Fortunately, this was not a problem for us or our pets. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Construction Zone

The road was closed on arrival (construction during the week), and the steel plates to make the road passable over the weekend meant every car that passed (pretty continuous) produced a BANG BANG…BANG BANG…etc.Space was not especially clean — underwear and socks in one bathroom, belt on the floor in a bedroom, dirt under every carpet, and stained couch.Plenty of clean towels, though, which was appreciated.We love Charleston and this neighborhood, but this was a disappointment.

This apartment is perfectly located about half a block from King Street and walking distance to great bars, restaurants and shopping. It was convenient, the beds were comfortable and it was very clean. Based on the listing we expected it to be more accommodating of a larger group—the wide/fish eye lens made the rooms in the pictures appear much more spacious. While it can sleep 6, there wasn’t a single room where the 6 of us could comfortably sit and talk (living room had seating for 4). It’s clearly a very historic home, with lots of character and charm…but with this came soft/spongy floorboards (especially on the outdoor porch and stairs), crooked doorways (pocket doors that slammed shut from gravity because they weren’t straight/were slanting downward), and sloping floors inside. Also, we were not made aware that there was MASSIVE construction surround the building—huge cranes and machines were operating all day, early mornings and even over the weekend. They weren’t too loud but it was a major eye sore and made driving and parking challenging. Overall a great location and we had a nice stay.

Check in was quick and easy. Any issues were quickly resolved by property manager. My main complaint was about parking. I had 6 adults and 3 BRs. Nowhere did it state I had 1 parking spot. I cannot think of how 6 adults would be arriving in 1 vehicle. I checked the page multiple times about parking and all that was stated was that there was free parking onsite. Just prior to check-in, I received an email stating there was 1 spot and no alternatives or any information. Secondly, the property was hot. It was 79 degrees inside when we checked in. We ran the AC continually and it never got below 74 degrees. If it had not been for the fans, we wouldn't have been able to tolerate it. The property was charming and the beds/linens were great! The kitchen was stocked well. The location to shopping was amazing. I would definitely stay there again, but only if I had one vehicle. For the price and size of the unit, I shouldn't have to pay for off-site parking.

This rental was very clean, spacious and beautifully updated. We very much enjoyed our stay. Plenty of plates, silverware and cups. I gave 4 stars due to the location, it was the perfect distance for walking to kings street, with a fun bar just steps away. However since the bar is so close you can hear the loud music being played until very late. Wasn’t a huge deal for us, but we did have little ones with us. It’s a good thing we brought a sound machine. Also, the neighbor across the street was outside yelling and scraping a shovel against the ground at 3 am. If you’re staying in the front bedroom you will get a front row seat to some shenanigans. The guy was nice but super loud at night and early morning. There is construction going on too right next door that will wake you up early. These things are out of the hosts control so it’s nothing against the property, just something to keep in mind while booking. I would just recommend to the host - provide a dustpan and broom to help clean up a little bit :) The kids were making a messes and we had to keep picking all the food up with our hands. There is only one parking spot for the unit so that is something to keep in mind too. But the owner was very nice and let us park in the other spot since it was unoccupied for the night. Then another guest let us park in their spot since she took an uber and didn’t bring a car. There were soooo many mosquitoes outside the apartment too. But a cute spot overall!
