We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! The boathouse was definitely the highlight of our trip, and really enjoyed all the amenities. Our kids spent hours swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in the lake making so many amazing memories. The cottage itself is cozy and homey, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we had a great experience, and would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

Cute cabin on the hill at Lake Lure. Boat house is steps down to the water. Quiet cove with great views from the boat house. Joan the host was most helpful. Just a simple cabin but very homey. If you are going here and want to watch TV, just keep in mind the only TV is in the living room and is not smart or updated. We enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay

I stayed at this property for spring break with friends. It had all that we needed. Even though the lake was lower than we would have liked, we were able to enjoy it!

Family getaway

Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Location was great near Chimney Rock. We enjoyed sitting at the boathouse and watching sunset. We had to cut our stay short due to a power outage caused by a hurricane, but we still had a great time and plan to come back!

Girls trip

We had a great time. The only thing the house needs is brighter lighting and a TV in each bedroom, other than that, the house was great.

Cozy cabin with all you need.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to prepare 3 meals a day. The boat house was easy to get to as compared to some that are down a cliff. It is located in a quiet and peaceful part of the lake and still close to Ingles and tourist shopping. Had a wonderful time.

Perfect Lakeside Cottage

My son and I stayed on Snug Cove Cottage for 4 days after Labor Day. The photos on the site do not do it justice. It is rustic and has a great floorplan. The view and boathouse are very nice. My son loved using his paddleboard several times daily. Loved our mini vacation here!

Lake Lure 2023

This was our third stay here and the accommodations were fantastic in every way, but the location and especially the views were even better. Even during a rainy week, there were endless options for entertainment and dining, along with incredible views in every direction. Literally the perfect family spot! Thanks so much for hosting us!

Great Getaway

It was absolutely wonderful. The only problem was, I was confused because in the photo, I couldn't see the cabin that well. Maybe post more pictures of the cabin. Otherwise, it was great and would stay there again.

lake cabin

During our stay the lake had been drained in order to do repairs so we could not take advantage of the lake. The boat house was nice to enjoy evening cocktails. The cabin could have used some more bath and kitchen amenities, especially for those just staying a few days.

Fall Getaway

Amazing views of fall foliage from this wonderful cabin and boathouse on the lake! The cabin was even nicer than we expected. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Cabin in conveniently located. We visited Chimney Rock, local shops & restaurants, gem mining, the Flowering Bridge, Sky Top Apple Orchard (30 min) and Western NC Nature Center.(45 min). Joan responded quickly to any questions we had.
