Five minutes walk from the center of historic Gettysburg. Only 100 yards from the East Confederate Avenue entrance to the National Battlefield Park. The ideal vacation rentals for a family gathering or a quiet getaway. Two houses that can sleep two, four, six or ten in various combinations. Fully equipped for self-catering, set in a lovely garden with deck and patio. The perfect place for your holiday in Gettysburg.
These attractive houses can be rented together (sleep 10), or separately (Culp House sleeps 6; Cricket House sleeps 4).

Please note that The Culp House is a vacation rental property, so guests are not entitled to breakfast at The Brickhouse Inn, nor to recieve packages. However, we can arrange a licensed Battlefield guide.

Great couples weekend stay

The Culp House did not disappoint. We all felt very much at home and cozy. Clean, spacious and comfortable. We stayed off season so it was too cold to sit outside, but great outdoor space for warmer months. Five minute walk to town square with restaurants and shops. If you plan to cook be prepared to bring some basics like spices, plastic wrap, etc. We highly recommend staying here.

Gettysburg Get Away

This property was perfect for our family of 4 adults. It was very clean. The beds were soft and there was plenty of bedding. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. It was conveniently located to downtown. A perfect place to come home and regroup after a day of sightseeing.

Yearly Trip with family and Friends

We love staying at the Culp House. We want for nothing during our trip. This year it rained so we were unable to enjoy sitting outside on the beautiful patio.

Perfect weekend spot

The house is exactly as advertised and the hosts were very responsive ahead of our trip. The house was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The backyard was perfect and the checkin process was easy and smooth. Would definitely stay here again and recommend

Wonderful Home in the Heart of Gettysburg

We are so grateful to have had an absolutely wonderful stay in Culp House and can't thank Brian and Tessa enough for their hospitality and offering their beautiful home for our stay. Culp House embraced us the moment we arrived with its historic charm and cozy surroundings. It is spacious and had all the amenities we could possibly need. My great-nephew (13) is hard to please, but he just loved his room, all the places to sit and read and the lovely patio in the garden. I knew I was in my "happy place" when I saw the Mort Kunstler painting on the stairway wall (one of my favourite Civil War artists!). The eat-in kitchen was a perfect place to gather for meals and play board games while looking out over the garden. We also enjoyed very much the games the hosts thoughtfully provided in the living room (I think my great-nephew especially memorized the Civil War trivia game!). We were able to walk almost everywhere of interest in town - the location couldn't be more perfect. Parking was so convenient. A big thank you to our hosts for making this such a perfect vacation with the most perfect vacation home.

Bike Week 2024

Absolutely wonderful! Keeps the history of this old house while having the right amount of updates to be comfortable for the modern traveler. So close to everything! This may be the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. Perfect balance. (Despite the fact that we made the mistake of booking during Bike Week---very loud!)

Convenient and clean

The Cricket House is a great place to stay in Gettysburg. The facilities are very good, comfortable and close to the battlefield and downtown. The furniture is comfortable and plenty of seating for just spending time when relaxing following your hikes on the battlefield.

Lovely stay at the Culp House

This was just perfect for our group of four ladies. The home is so inviting, peaceful, and decorated lovely. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. So many colorful birds to watch. The home is very spacious. Easy walking distance to town for shopping and eating.

Beautiful home

A beautiful Victorian home in a great location. We were able to walk to town, eateries, breweries, you name it. Highly recommend for all and will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

Nice Property

House nicely located close to many Gettysburg sites. Very clean. Classic old house that accommodated our family of five. Would stay again if in the area. Bedrooms all upstairs so not optimal for those with mobility issues.

Great house in a great location

My family has stayed here twice and been thrilled with the house and its location. It’s in good shape, well stocked, and right by Gettysburg and an easy drive to Liberty Mountain.

Perfect spot

We enjoyed our stay and loved the fact that it was decorated for the holidays. Lots of space and all the amenities were great. Nice location within walking distance to all the places we wanted to go. We will definitely be back.

Superb Location for Visiting Gettysburg

We found home to be just as described. Well maintained older home that perfectly fit the ambiance of Gettysburg. The house is conveniently located a block from the Culp Hill entrance to Gettysburg Battlefield Park. It is also within walking distance of the town's center where shops and restaurants are located. The house is furnished with several vintage pieces and is very comfy with modern appliances. We hope to stay again!

Well appointed

Overall this residence is well stocked with everything you may need, even a washer and dryer. Nice covered deck in back with fenced in private yard. They could update the landscaping a bit in the back.

Spectacular

Our family cannot rave enough about the Culp House. Brian's home is located at a great location, 8-minute walk to Lincoln Square or just a short drive to all the shops. The home is very clean and well equipped with everything you need if you want to cook. To our surprise, there is a lovely deck out back with a fenced-in yard. There are 3 designated parking spaces for 3 cars if need be. There were plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. Brian was very accommodating and responded very quickly to our e-mails. I highly recommend and we will be staying there again when we travel back to Gettysburg.
