Welcome to Shenandoah Vista, a peaceful retreat where you can admire a winding bend of the Shenandoah River through the woods - a view stunning in winter and just as captivating in summer. Perfect for couples or families, the cabin features cozy indoor space, a wrap-around deck, and a fire pit.

This cozy cabin is the perfect home base for relaxing or exploring!. With 3 bedrooms (1 king and 2 queen beds), it's ideal for families or couples. A fully equipped kitchen makes dining in-house convenient and a stackable washer/dryer allows for easy clean up after outdoor fun. Outside, the wrap-around deck offers ample seating and a charcoal grill is available for relaxed meals under the trees. At night, stargaze or gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Dog friendly so your furry travel companion (2 max) are welcome to join the adventure ($60 flat pet fee per stay - no nightly charges).

Shenandoah Vista is located in a quiet neighborhood and, while not completely secluded, the surrounding woods create a peaceful getaway. There are a few home scattered nearby, however the setting remains private and relaxing.

Traveling with a larger group? Shenandoah Vista is near “Grand View,” another one of our 6-guest properties. While separated by a wooded area, the homes are walkable yet private - ideal for multiple families or friends traveling together.

Things to Note

The charming town of Luray and the famous Luray Caverns are 20 mins away.

Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park (off Hwy 211) is a scenic 25–30 minute drive from the cabin.

Shenandoah River Outfitters is less than a 5 minute drive away.

Road Conditions: The uphill road leading to Shenandoah Vista is gravel and not state or county maintained. 4WD or AWD is recommended in inclement weather (heavy snow / rain). The road can be a bit bumpy, so feel free to drive on whichever side is smoother.

Groceries & Essentials: We recommend stopping for groceries before arriving, as the nearest stores are about 12 miles away.

Camp fire wood available for purchase ($10 per bundle).

No EV charging is available on-site, and use of indoor or outdoor electrical outlets is not permitted. If you need to charge your vehicle, convenient charging stations can be found in the nearby town of Luray.

Absolutely amazing place to get away!!! Amazing views of the Shenandoah River and very quiet and secluded. Plus very close to downtown Luray and 30 mins from Thornton Gap entrance for Shenandoah National Park. Definitely will be returning!!

Great Little Retreat!

My friends and I stayed here to have a relaxing girls’ weekend in the mountains. The owners were very easy to work with and replies to any questions or messages we sent. The view from the deck was beautiful! We would definitely book here again, or any of their other properties!

Family Fourth of July Getaway

The house was exactly as described. Very comfortable and clean! The views from the deck are fantastic. We enjoyed breakfast outside each morning. Great proximity to Shenandoah National Park, which is where we spend almost every day and the house was the perfect resting spot after a full day on the river or hiking the trails.

Peaceful getaway

Super easy check in & out. Beautiful home just outside Luray. Driveway is steep, but made it in & out fine in our Challenger. We really enjoyed having a comfortable living room area to relax in after long days out and internet was really good. The host are very helpful and kind. Definitely a great place to stay!

Location had beautiful views, The house was clean, well equipped and had plenty of room. It is very private and quiet! The road to the house was a bit rough for a car but you just have to go slow and use the second entance per the instructions.

Great girls getaway

Nice long weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was convenient to Luray. The cabin was very nice and clean. Only downside is there was no wifi, and our cell phones didn’t pick up well. Owners are wonderful, great communication the entire trip!!!

It was reasonable value and views spectacular!

Hiking trip

We absolutely loved the cabin. Perfect location to Shenandoah and the river! The cabin was extremely clean, we loved the views and the hosts had everything ready for our stay. Our children(13 and 9) loved the fire pit, games and corn hole. We would 10/10 come here again!
