With a waterfront location on the shores of Wild Rice Lake (as well as a dock, two kayaks, and a rowboat to help you explore), Destination Cove offers the excitement of the popular Manitowish Waters Chain of Lakes while being quietly nestled in the pines. Gather together around the firepit to swap tall tales and old stories, roast some s'mores, and enjoy the quiet crackle of the burning logs. Destination Cove provides year-round possibilities for living your life your way! What's nearby: Ottawa National Forest is only minutes north, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is just a few towns over, and Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest is all around you. Whether you're looking for a meticulously groomed trail or you want to set your own tracks through a fresh layer of snow amid towering pines or old-growth hemlocks, the perfect trail is waiting nearby. In addition to skiing, many of the local trails allow snowshoeing and fat-tire biking as well. Wild Rice Lake is a 384 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 26 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. Beautiful and relaxing stay.

We enjoyed the heated porch that overlooked the lake. We had total solitude at the place, yet 20 minutes to the biggest town in the area.

Great stay!

This house was perfect for a weekend get away! It was clean and comfortable and well equipped! We enjoyed the dock and kayaks, and we were very pleased with the house. We would definitely return for another stay.

Great Lake cabin for family

Great cabin in excellent condition right on a beautiful lake. Cabin is clean and room with everything you need for a family. Highly recommend.

Great stay

Great house in a great location. The house is clean well kept and the updated kitchen is great. The fireplace is awesome and the internet is strong. It made for a great getaway watching movies in front of the fire.

The home is very nice, well kept, comfortable, very well equipped and very clean. Beautiful lake front property , beautiful surroundings. We had a great stay and would love to return.

Cozy home on scenic lake

We stayed here 4 days in late October. This proved to be a great location for our running and hiking activities. We also learned a great deal about cranberries from the local gift store.

Wonderful weekend

I would definitely recommend this rental! It was so beautiful and the view of the lake was just serene. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed trying out the kayaks and the rowboat, and had a wonderful campfire to roast s'mores.

Lovely Cabin on the Lake

We had a fantastic time at this cabin on the lake. It was just as described, very clean, great location and had everything we needed on site. Love the lake views from the master bedroom and family room. We will be back!

Beautiful Home

We loved staying at this cozy cottage right on the lake. Waking up to lake views and spending time at night in the heated porch with a fire in the fire place was exactly how we wanted to unwind. We would absolutely stay here again and hope we get another reason to come back!

A quiet home on Wild Rice Lake

We enjoyed a lovely three days at this home overlooking Wild Rice Lake. So fun to hear loons, see a couple eagles, and delight in three river otters that happened past! Easy access to Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters, and the nearby network of bike trails.

Great Week!

Peaceful place on the lake

Artist’s Cove

If you love a quiet, beautiful, serene place to relax then this is it. Wild Rice Lake is perfect - no development on the southern shore. We just soaked in the loveliness and fell in love with this place.
